This is the primary reason I will probably never part with my 2017 MS. They may have made the computers faster but the have not improved the overall design. And in some cases (no stalks) have made it worse.

Wow! This is just fantastic! So glad I found this thread. I still get around 281 (225 rated) miles of range out of my 2017 (July build) S75 but I will DEFINITELY be upgrading in the future. My car has been the best thing since sliced bread since I bought it and this will make it even better.

Nice write up. I’ve had mine 5 years and almost 60k miles and never had an issue with it. It is absolutely the best car I’ve ever owned and it just keeps getting better.

I’ve got a July ‘17 build with 35k miles on it. Glass roof, RWD, coil suspension, uncorked, etc. Never had an issue with it other than the key fobs had to be replaced 2 times due to the car not recognizing them for some reason. It was all taken care of of via mobile service so not a big deal...

I think the S is a timeless design that looks like nothing else on the road. I never get tired of it, which is a phenomenon that I haven't experienced with other cars I've owned. I just finished the paperwork to complete the purchase of mine (end of lease).

I rented a Ford Explorer about 6 months after I bought my Tesla. It was a real eye opener driving that thing. No torque, no passing speed, spongy handling characteristics, and just no fun in general. I'll never go back to an ICE car.

I think this an important point. Volatility is increasing, and there are ways to play that to your advantage other than options. There are a variety of financial products that closely mirror the VIX. Not advice. And be careful out there. :)
