    Welp, we're now a 2 EV household...............and the 2nd EV ISN'T A TESLA!!! (ZOMG111ELEVENTY111!!!!)

Congratulations on your newest EV purchase! With it being a performance model, just curious as to how it compares to the Tesla. Acceleration, traction control, and regen braking?

    My Model 3 Performance vs SRT Challenger. I ran 11.39 @ 119mph!

I'm running fully stock wheel/tire combo. My SOC was around 92 or 93% since I have to drive a fair distance to the track from the closest Supercharger. There definitely seems to be a performance increase with the 2020 M3Ps when compared to the earlier years. Most likely firmware improvements.

    Model 3 Performance feels slow?

I suggest you run it at a quarter mile track. My 2020 Model 3 Performance ran 11.39 @ 119mph at Sacramento Raceway a few days ago!

    My Model 3 Performance vs SRT Challenger. I ran 11.39 @ 119mph!

Another good day at Sacramento Raceway! I ran my Tesla Model 3 Performance at the 2021 Grudgefest in April. I gained one mph from my last time at the track by hitting 119mph! Still ran 11.3 E.T. I wish there was a Supercharger closer to the track so I could run with a higher SOC.

My tire pressure was set to 42psi. A couple weeks later I went back with an SOC of around 92% and ran 11.37 @ 118mph!

Warning!!! Model 3 will make you immature (again)

"First full day of driving my P3D today. Let me preface this with been driving over 30 years...….:)" Just for reference, I also have a 2020 P3D and ran 11.37 @ 118mph at Sacramento Raceway. I was pretty shocked at those numbers!

I tried "Launch Mode" for the first time today.

Well no but I just might drive to where ever I need...My wife and I would love a road trip in the Tesla!

I wouldn't mind running as a chase vehicle with GoPros or other camera manufactures in place!

New best timeslip: My Model 3 Performance just ran 11.37 @ 118

Beautiful California weather and meeting up with a Tesla owners club at the track made for an exciting day. Not to mention dropping a tenth off my time with an SOC of 92% vs around 73% last time. I ran a surprising 11.37 @ 118. A couple weeks ago I managed an 11.48 @ 117. I definitely...

I would say they are both equally important. Too low of an SOC will limit performance and optimum battery temp is just as critical. I've seen Model S P100Ds require up to 55 min to heat up the battery in order to enable ludicrous mode.

Definitely would need a fire jacket for sure lol. I'll attempt to make another run next Saturday with a higher SOC!

My SOC was about 73%. I was hoping to Supercharge not long before the run but I didn't have time as the track closed at 4pm. Temps that day must have been in the 60s or 70s, not really sure though. I would like to make another run with a higher SOC and see if that makes an improvement.

"I gotta find someone to film this from the right seat. " I'd be happy film multiple runs for you lol. Unfortunately I'm too far away in the Bay Area.

Hello, I do agree as a drag racing accident involving an EV resulting in a straight short of the pack would produce a "slow" burn as opposed to an "explosion" from gasoline/methanol. Unfortunately those are the rules and I didn't want to have to lift at half track so I didn't bother to make...

    P3 Upgrade Next?

I wish they had a 1/4 mile timing system. Curious to know what that RS6 would run. I ran my 2020 M3P at the dragstrip today and ran 11.48 @ 117mph. I was shocked!

Hello, Name is Brad and I just joined the site. I took delivery of my Model 3 Performance in late December, just in time for the tax credit! I took my M3P to the drag strip today in Sacramento and wanted to share the results. I was shocked when I saw my timeslip: 11.48 @ 117mph That was...
