Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

Kinda like a smart phone, right? I sure am glad I do not have to take my phone to the AT&T store every time a security update comes out! While it does feel like these issues are unique to Tesla, I can assure you that it happens to other brands as well. Don't get me started on VW or Chevy, let...

2020 sr+ failing HVAC and other errors

Not sure if you have the Tesla Power Trunk Retrofit Kit, but if so, be sure to look at this thread for a workaround that Tesla will do if you go to the Service Center. Honestly, I can live with the workaround for several months, but they should look at this problem more closely. I get that...

Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

Its tricky. I was posting all over here back in December about my trunk issues, and not only did it few responses, but people who had the Retrofit said they were fine. That really doesn't mean it's not happening widespread. The 2023 Xmas update broke my trunk completely, would not open under...

Power trunk retrofit causing car awake

This totally works. In fact the Tesla Service Center did this to my 2020 LR with Retrofit Trunk. The invoice literally says I need to make an appointment after the next software update and they will do their thing again to fix the rear trunk.

Refreshed M3 battery lost 50% charge in a week?

Came here to ask the same question. I have the Retrofit kit and it has broken via software update, twice in a row now. I got a software update 4/1/12024 to 2024.3.10 which bricked my HVAC. Got the warning on the screen that it needed replaced, and it would not come on at all. Seat heaters...

    Trunk latch won't open

Sorry if this is no help to you, but I just got mine repaired for a similar issue. My issue is similar because my trunk failed in the same ways you are describing, but I had the Tesla Retrofit Trunk Kit installed. I'm attributing my issues to this, but it's hard to say. Given that you have a...

Tesla Retrofit Power Trunk - Holiday Update

Had the Service Center fix this for me. From the repair invoice: I used the trunk successfully on 12/22/2023 then parked the car in my garage. I got the update on 12/24/23. On 12/27/23 I drove the car, and when I went to open the trunk it was not working. Not sure if they did a software...

    Navigation Question - Preferred Route?

I'll give this a try. In your experience, how long (if at all) has it taken to implement suggested changes? I corrected my home address being at the wrong place on the map in 2017 and 2018, multiple times. DoorDash drivers (who must use an older Google Maps) drove 3 houses down until early...

    Navigation Question - Preferred Route?

    FSD V11 Discussion - First Released 11/11/22 at 11:11PM - Maybe

I'm outside Columbus, Ohio. I often curse the auto-wipers during mist as being a "California-tested feature" because when the auto wipers do not come on unless the whole windshield is covered in mist. Paradoxically, FSD will turn on the wipers whenever the sun (or an orange street light)...

Sounds like your drive is different from ours, but I have been extremely impressed with 2022.20.19 (FSD 10.69.2.4)! It is crushing the roundabouts and does fantastic pulling around vehicles that are not cleared of the lane. I also found more confidence in unprotected left turns. It does...

    Just had Wall Charger installed

As far as I can tell, there is no integration with the regular Tesla app. This is strange as Tesla integrates the rest of their products in the app. Also the Wall Charger has WiFi and the ability to balance charging between multiple chargers on the same power line.
