Hmm I finally got it working. Instead of saving the programming when the car thought it was done, I kept hitting “back” to go back and repeat the training process. After about four times back and forth it had finally paired successfully.

At this price I’m tempted to buy it back from them. For the price of pretty much just the sales tax I’d be converting the ESA into a CPO warranty, and getting Tesla to detail the car. Not a bad deal if I still had a need for it.

Thanks for the tip... I just checked again and it looks like it’s resolved. Loot box is back in there app and details are back in my account on the website. And my link works again! Only thing not working is the “My Awards” page in the loot box. Hopefully that fixes itself soon too.

I was very proud of it too. Y’all knew it was a great price even initially. In the end though they are able to offer a CPO warranty while I could not, and on a vehicle already out of the initial warranty that makes a big difference in some people’s minds.

Yup. The Model 3 is in my account and the app works in every sense except the Loot Box being completely absent.

This is a regression for me, not an improvement. The mirrors are not aimed properly for me when they auto-tilt on reverse, and it's not possible to save new positions for them. Unlike on the Model S, I need to adjust the Model 3's mirrors manually every time I reverse.

Thought I did, but two potential deals in the $60k - $61k range fell through the day before I took delivery of the Model 3. Rather than delay the delivery or float both cars I decided on trading it in for $54k plus about $2,700 prorated refund for the ESA.

My biggest regret is that I'm stuck with the old blue paint. If I had waited just a couple more months, I'd have gotten the much nicer (in my opinion), not-black-in-most-lighting-conditions blue that they offer now.

I've got that super annoying clicking sound coming from the rear as well. Started with 6.1 and persists with 6.2. I think it is related to the torque sleep being engaged / disengaged for the rear motor based on when i tend to hear it.

The Apple USB Super Drive requires more power than the 500mA that a standard USB port provides. It only works with Apple computers and displays, which can provide it with 1 Amp.

My guess is yes, they'll make it by the end of January with a buggy update that they rush to get out. And then about two weeks later we'll get another update that has less issues.
