It certainly was. Eventually the body shop discovered how to recharge it (I told them there was the 3-pin stuff in the boot, but for a long time, this fell on deaf ears). It got scarily low at one point - <5% over Christmas, if memory serves.

Others have said on this forum that while the double beep is generally a sign of the powered strut failing, it's been happening a lot since the 2022.8.2 update (the hope is that 8.3 fixes this; can't anyone confirm?). I've been getting double beeps a lot recently - probably over 75% of the time...

All credit to @Dasher above! I lack the lateral thinking to have solved the issue. ;) The 3M sticky pads lasted about 30 seconds in Storm Eunice but I'm sure would stick to the Model 3's paintwork perfectly. o_O🤪
