After 4 long years we finally took delivery of our CyberTruck

Congrats, mine won't be delivered until 2029 or 2030 or 2031🤣 by then, there will be a compact Cybertruck on the market😆

    Model Y Owners - Preordering a Cybertruck

Hope those prices go down…80k for the AWD is a little too rich for my blood but I won’t cancel my pre-order just yet. At a $100 deposit, it’s better than the current $250 deposit albeit they’re both refundable…… at least for the time being.

    Model Y Owners - Preordering a Cybertruck

Couldn’t wait for my order, so I just printed one🤣🤣

    Rear ended

I would say maybe 15 or less but definitely no more than 20 since we were at 30 mph zone and just starting from red to green, his airbag did not pop through, at least if I remember correctly. Here’s the hatch damage…slightly bent inward with some paint damage.
  5. slvervper99

    Rear ended

Yep, I figured that it's more than likely just cosmetic. I sent the pictures to the body shop and so far, bumper, pain , labor etc. We're looking at $2k, but I'm sure it'll go up once they remove the bumper and yes, I also saw the bottom of the hatch, not sure if the body shop saw it from...

    Rear ended

Barely ten months old and here we are. Got rear ended yesterday, hopefully it’s just cosmetic and no structural damage/s. Sent pictures to a Tesla approved body shop since the nearest local Tesla collision center is about 40 miles away and the earliest they can see my car is about a month from...

    Model Y Owners - Preordering a Cybertruck

I know. What I meant was I'm giving up my Model Y to get the CT. Either sell or trade whichever will give me a higher value. I traded in my Kia when I got my MY because even though Tesla was giving me $300 less than Carmax and other sites that would buy the car, I ended up saving more in sales...

    Model Y Owners - Preordering a Cybertruck

I'm turning in my Model Y as a trade in once I take delivery of the CT which is probably in 2027 or 2028 based on my assumptions since I ordered it in October 2021. The Model Y would've been paid off already by then too.😁

    Pre-order agreement document

Well, I check the Tesla website every now and then ever since the “first“ production car rolled out of Giga Texas. While it (webpage) remains unchanged, meaning we still can’t do any configuration. Something was added when I click manage orders and that is the addition of documents about my...

7 months later [review after 7 months ownership]

This is what I mean. And I'm never alone in the car because I always have family with me so the ad ded weight doesn't help. I think until charging times gets much faster than current Superchargers and they become much more readily accessible, ICE vehicle travel times will be shorter compared to...

7 months later [review after 7 months ownership]

So here's what happened and it's my fault, I should've been more clear. We used the trip planner both Tesla trip planner and other website trip planners. Both Tesla and other website trip planner gave us 4 - 5 stops each stop ranging from 15 mins charge to about 30 mins. Let's just say an...

    myQ Connected Garage

Yes, I believe so since it is tied to your myQ account instead of your Tesla account and unlike the Tesla homelink which you can only transfer if you remove it from your current car to the next one. This is another reason I chose myQ instead of the Tesla garage opener.
  13. slvervper99

    Who has ordered?

I can wait however long it takes. Bought the CT to replace my MY which will be about 6-7 y/o by then if my order gets fulfilled in 2026 or 2027 since I just ordered early last year. And I'm keeping my order even if they priced it somewhere along the lines of the Rivian which I hope they don't so...

    myQ Connected Garage

I think you can do the $300 for 10 years subscription. I also paid the $45 for my first year just to see if I liked it but plan on the longer subscription time next year.

7 months later [review after 7 months ownership]

Also, after driving to Canada and back I have decided ICE vehicle (for longer travel) is better due to the nature of the number of stops we need to make to charge the car; not saying that long distance driving is not suitable to the any Tesla or EV cars. It just adds additional time to your...

7 months later [review after 7 months ownership]

In all honesty, I care very little about this. I don't think people realize that if you have a lead foot, you consume more gas/fuel, same with EV, you also consume more electricity Only difference is, a lot of EV drivers are more conscious because consumption information is more readily...

7 months later [review after 7 months ownership]

Well, it's been 7 months since I took delivery. Here's what I think. Still love my MYLR with white interior, just doesn't get old. Driving wise, I don't see any difference between the MY and my Honda Pilot. They're both smooth on the highway with no rattles and very minimal wind noise. I was...

    myQ Connected Garage

I'd never had mine fail, if getting an error message for a few seconds is considered "fail" then - Yes. I've experienced that but it always reconnects (as I have stated a few seconds) without me having to troubleshoot anything. I guess it depends on how good your internet is.

Received a redeem code for the mobile charger on my old RN #?

Mine got cancelled also. Either someone is going to get fired for this fiasco or some disgruntled employee did get fired and decided to send out codes to get back at Tesla 😳🤯

Received a redeem code for the mobile charger on my old RN #?

So funny thing happened. I got a second email with a different promo code for the same thing. I already ordered the one. Should I get the wall connector this time😁😁

Well, decided I'll take it. Keep it for a while just in case.

Received a redeem code for the mobile charger on my old RN #?

So, I was checking my email today and received a redeem code for the mobile charger on my old RN #. I already purchased one with a redeem code last November before I took delivery of my car. I thought it was a scam email so instead of clicking the link in the email; I signed into my Tesla...

    myQ Connected Garage

Just installed this with my old Craftsman garage opener which is about 12 years old. I checked all the boxes on compatibility chart. I'm trying the $45/year premium subscription. Thought about the $350 from Tesla, I know it's a one time payment but I wonder if it is transferrable from one Tesla...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Having used my son's Model 3 with USS and now my Y without one. At least it's something, funny thing happen to me at work, I was parking and it did the opposite. When I first tested it in my garage, it says I have an object about 17 inch in front of me even though the garage door was about 12...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

True, it would be nice if it is the other way around as far as measuring distance from the obstacle…. I wouldn’t park that close to a wall anyway if it is avoidable. I remember mostly people were complaining about the advantage of the USS that it can actually see or sense the curb in front of...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Just downloaded recent update including the Tesla vision park assist. USS is more accurate but it works fairly accurately. At least it will give the dri some idea. It says I’m 17 inch from my front obstacle but I’m really about 12 inch from the nose to the garage door…so 30% margin of error? Not...

    Illinois Waiting Room

Yessssss……got my check today. $4k. Sent in my application December 5th IL EPA received it on December 8th. The issue date on the check was March 7th. Was going to use the money to buy AB from Tesla but I changed my mind. 4.8 sec 0-60 is plenty fast now😁😁, gonna use the money for something else.

    Illinois Waiting Room

Update, so I did what Paul1 recommended. I emailed them and have responded that they have received it. But it also stated on the response that it may take weeks or months after the rebate cycle ended (which is after Jan 31) before my or any application gets processed. At least now I know that...

    Illinois Waiting Room

Well, I emailed them because I sent mine through USPS priority. Just wanted to see if they've thrown it out; that way I have the peace of mind of not expecting the rebate check if it is truly that they only accept first class regular mail.
  31. slvervper99

    Illinois Waiting Room

I’ve not received any email of sorts As Bartholomew have posted. But I also mailed mine as USPS priority instead of the regular mail. So if what luckyt22 is saying is true about regular mail, then I guess mine will be thrown out right away because I used the priority envelope.😭😭

    Illinois Waiting Room

Yup it looks like, when I looked last Sunday, the number of non-low income awarded was zero. Now it has 325 awarded. So crossing my fingers that I get mine soon a well.

    Illinois Waiting Room

So any November/December deliveries got the IL EV rebate yet? I took delivery 12/3 and submitted my documents on 12/5 - priority USPS says it was delivered 12/8. Just inquiring but I'm not holding my breath on getting it soon if I even get it.

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

wow, this topic got heated pretty quick. I think I lot of people feel cheated. Those who took deliveries in November felt cheated when in December, there was a $3750 credit, those who took delivery before Dec 15 felt cheated when Tesla raised the credit to $7500 and $1000 worth of supercharging...

    New tires at 21,000 miles

Last time I let my car (03 CRV) go down to 3/32, it felt like driving slicks in the snow😅. But then again, I had those cheap Yokohama tires that even though it says "all-season", they were pretty much useless at 5/32 (in the winter of course with about 2-3 inch of snow) and this is an 03 CRV...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Don’t forget Maserati that depreciates 50% or more only after 3 years. A physician I work with bought a Quattroporte, paid $110k for it, after 2 years he was trying to trade it in for a Ferrari, the dealer was going to give him a trade in price of 60-65k, couldn’t remember since it was about 10...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

I took delivery on December 3 when technically my EDD was Dec 15. I suppose I could've told my SA that I will keep my 12/15 delivery if I had known that at 12/15 they were going to give $7500 credit and $1000 worth of free supercharging. But I didn't and I was waiting for so long, I just wanted...

    New tires at 21,000 miles

I agree, and he have the OEM Michelin All Season too. Got me scratching my head. But I figured, he might as well replace them on or after next summer since he literally puts maybe about 5-6k miles a year so unless he makes burnouts, he would still be only at around 20k miles, but I think...

    New tires at 21,000 miles

So my son's 21 LR have about 12K miles. He was told that his tread wear is at 5/32 and they recommended to change the tires soon. He doesn't drive it much as he works from home and the car is only 1 1/2 years old. I'm not sure about his driving habits but it seems an excessive wear on the tires...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Please take no offense, just inquiring minds. Humor me here….saw that you ordered your Y in June 2021 when the prices were still sub 60k. Based on your post, if the Model Y was in the low-mid 60’s in 2021. Would you have ordered one then not knowing whether the price will keep going up, stay the...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Tesla is going to continue with the see-saw price changes I believe. Judging from its pricing history because it follows the basic market principle of supply and demand. I’m no means a Tesla expert nor am I a shrewd market analyst. Just a consumer looking at what I see. I plan to keep my Model Y...

So I wonder if Tesla is going to bring the price back up then😂 probably not back to 65K but more or less 5k higher to 57,990. 😁 because that would at least bring back some of the value lost during this 3 month price craziness

    Illinois Waiting Room

Reading up on what IEPA about the second round rebates. It looks like they won’t even start processing the rebates until after January 31st since it is the end of the second round of applications. I’m guessing that they figured that they no longer have funds due to the number of applications...

Tesla cuts price of the Model Y by $13000 to qualify for the $7500 federal rebate. That means our $62k Model Y we took delivery last month just depreciated by $13k 😭😭

    Illinois Waiting Room

Thanks for the info and sorry. I guess I should expect a long term wait then. I do vaguely remember one member here getting the check within 4 weeks, thus the reason I'm asking. But it is a lot of money I suppose to just send out just like that. I wished they just did direct deposit.
  47. slvervper99

    Illinois Waiting Room

Was going to ask the same question. I sent mine around Dec 5. Still waiting for it. On the website, the second round of submissions should be before Jan 31, 2023. Does this mean that it is no longer $4K but less?

    First month drive

So I've had my MY LR for roughly over a month (delivery was 12/3). Still in honeymoon phase. Sad that I already got my all weather mats dirty from snow, mud, etc.😁But at least it's doing it's job. Already have the bluish hue on my white seats especially on the driver side when my son drove it...
