    2023.44.30.2 and APS_W160

I have the same issue here. I reinstalled the firmware in service mode and that makes thing even worse: GPS is frozen. I then tried to reset the ECU and reboot the gateway. That didn't help. However, the ping on ECU from toolbox 3 was fine. Those are the following error messages I have for now:

Camera, Navigation and AP Failure After Update

I have similar experience with my 2017 Model X (with HW3 retrofit) as well. The day before yesterday I installed software update to 2023.44.30.4. Looked like the intall was failed. When I drove last night, AP was disabled and an error message asked me to schedule a service appointment for...

Charge port door sensor fault CP_w043

CCS upgrade will not need to touch your charge port, it's simply using the same thing as the EU retrofit and then change the gateway config in toolbox. I don't think the problem is due to your charge port either, I have the same problem after a bodyshop wash my car after fixing it (I hit a...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

I just did the retrofit by myself in this post.... It requires someone with toolbox 2 access to help change the gateway config

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

Did a roadtrip in Texas over the past three days. Electrify America offers complimentary sessions and so did not use supercharger at all. It is a bit slower than supercharging but no complains

Really? Didn't know that. Thanks for the info

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in US Model S

I did the retrofit in Model X but it should be the same as Model X. It would not let you do AC charging but supercharger was still fine. On the safe side, you could let service center change the config for you first, then comeback home and install the retrofit before doing a reflash.

    CCS Adapter for North America

You can still order it from Tesla Korea (CCS 콤보 1 어댑터) as long as you have a Korean credit card and know how to jig the address (the same method resellers in the US used to circumvent reseller detection algorithms by large retailers)

    CCS Adapter for North America

Another update from Harumio: Just got an email saying the CCS adapters are out of stock and they don't know when will they be back in stock again. I aslo tried to ask Delivered Korea to order that for me. They did but almost the same time I got an email from Delivered Korea saying Tesla...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in US Model S

From @AlexUA, retrofitting Gen 1 charger is not possible. So it's better to upgrade that to gen 2 charger before retrofitting

    CCS Adapter for North America

I tried to buy another CCS1 adapter in Tesla Korea Shop but I got "payment declined" errror. I inspected the network traffic and one of the payment response shows "The merchant does not accept credit cards issued outside of Korea." Looks like Tesla does not want people outside of Korea to get...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

Update: Someome is nice enough to help me change the gateway config plcadaptertype using Toolbox 2. It's an easy process and additional car info shows "CCS Support" as enabled. I will re-install the retofit and do a software update to see if this time it works

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in US Model S

Looks like the config has plcSupportType besied the two you mentioned as well. Should we change all three of them? Looks like plcSupportType is for Model 3 and Model Y but I don't know if this variable is needed for S and X { "accessId":70, "codeKey":"plcSupportType"...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

I researched a bit on the wiring diagram. The jumper cable included in the retrofit kit (1486940-00-A) is indeed in the parts catalog. There are two connectors on the jumper cable that needed to be connected to the vehicle. One is X105 on the chargeport and the other one is X106 the pilot and...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

The good thing about Model Y is you could simply replace a gen3 chargeport ECU to a Gen4 and then resintall the software. The CCS retrofit for Model X and S are officially launched in EU but not "available" in the US yet. The ECU and the wiring harness are both in the US parts catalog and so I...

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

Update: Connected to Toolbox 3, the personal paid subsctiption does not allow me to change the gateway configs. Therefore this is a no go. Decided to uninstall the retrofit. The error codes are cleared and AC charging is working again

DIY Installing CCS Retrofit in My US 2017 Model X

Yep, that is really helpful. Looks like two things that are blocking this DIY install: 1. Might need to change the gateway config to enable CCS charging. The paid suscritpion Toolbox does not support chaging such config 2. The pin location of the wiring harness, especially the one connects to...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Yes, looks like it needs a config change because I got "CCS Fast Charging is unavailable, Schedule Service - Configuration Change required" (Error code CHG_w084). My Model X has been upgrade to MCU2 and so it is not Tegra. I have Toolbox 3 susbcription and waiting for the diagnistic cable to...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Thanks for the heads up! Doesn't look like the old Model X even has an ECU in place (quite different from Model 3) and so the retrofit ECU will simply an add on. Also, I checked the Model X US parts catalog, found nothing about the original ECU but found this: 14 MX CCS ECU - (PLCRLY)...

    CCS Adapter for North America

I order the aftermarket floormat from a store but they sent me the seven seat floor mat even if mine is a six seat....So the seller didn't bother asking me sending the wrong one back and he sent me the correct floormat. CCS Adapter for North America

The EU service center my friend ordered from only sells the whole retrofit kit, which includes the ECU, wiring harness, and the adapter. CCS Adapter for North America

Hi Folks! This is my first post but I have been browsing this forum for a long time. I have a 2017 Model X and I really want to have CCS charging as an option, so I bought the CCS1 adapter and asked my friend in EU to get a CCS retrofit kit for me. The ECU should work on both CCS1 and CCS2 since...
