Do you know that the haters' reasons for being against EVs is? 10-15 years from now autocross will be majority EVs, and there'll be good reason to be an ICE hater.

I have the Rival 1.5's, and I do like them. I only did one autocross and one track day last year with them, so I don't have a ton of experience. Beware that they run wide though. I run 5mm spacers with 275/35/19 on Konig 19x9.5 +35 Ampliforms, and the tire still just grazes the uprights under load.

I'll pile on to say that when I read post 1027 above I thought it was a rather hard sell, making broad, unsubstantiated claims, without supporting data, for a company that I think of as reputable. Wondering if UP might chime back in to this thread to comment?

Your cheapest option, initially, is likely new tires on the Uberturbines. But then when those get trashed from potholes (if Chicago roads are anything like Boston area roads), go and spend the $3k for 18" or 19" wheels and tires from T-Sportline. They will fit without any spacers, hub centering...

How Crap. You're probably right. So it looks like the +25 offset Ampliforms would be a perfect fit for me, vs. the +35 that I'm working to make fit now. Seems odd based on past experience that everyone has posted on this forum. Can anyone explain this?

Thanks. Just FUCA with no shims to get to -3.0 deg. Putting the 8.mm shim back in gets me to -2.0 deg for street.

3.0 degrees of camber on MPP FUCA, so I'm good there. Tires are touching the knuckle at rest, so I'm going with 5mm to make sure I don't hit under hard cornering.

Looks like +30 wheels would have been a better fit.

Followup post: Mounted my wheels and tires this past weekend. 19"x9.5"+35 wheels, 275/35/19 BF Goodrich Rival S 1.5. Everything I'd read said this should have been plug and play. Ends up the front tires hit the knuckle. Picture: 5mm spacers on the way.

One of them rubbed up against the headliner when I was putting it in the car through one of the rear doors, and left black tire smudges...

Looks like I'm going to go with some 19x9.5 Konigs, as the cost won't be too high, so if I want to move to 19x10.5 in the future I won't have too much invested. I see offset options of 25 and 35. Which would be the safer way to go - 35?

@superflyrolla Thanks for the corrections. Updates made. Rev 03 attached. @dsgerbc I'm not familiar with the Nexen, so I didn't include them. Again, there's enough on the matrix to tell me I should go with 19" wheels.

I just calculated the outer diameter from the tire size. Those numbers are just on the spreadsheet to see theoretically how close to stock OD each size is. The real point of this matrix is tire availability by size.

I've been trying to decide whether to go 18" or 19" for my track/autocross wheels and tires, so I generated the attached spreadsheet, based on data on TireRack.com. Definitely confirms for me that based on tire availability I'll be going with 19" wheels. Most likely 19"x10.5, 275-35-19.

I'm surprised that 295 A7's would fit without any other mods, as I thought they run wide. Would that same 18” 10.5” +25 front w/295 fit in the rear, as I want to run square?

So generally what's the widest we can go (assuming stock suspension and camber, no body mods, and optimized offset) with 18" wheels, and with 19" wheels?

Can you elaborate on 19" offering the most knuckle clearance? Does that mean that I could fit a wider 19" tire than 18", or that I have a wider range of wheel offsets available for 19" than 18", or something else?
