Great that Mildura has been added (love Mildura) and hopefully we will see it in 2024 or 25, but unfortunately there is no route to get from Adelaide to Mildura. Victor Harbor or Port Wakefield might be "nice", but somewhere like Waikerie would be far more beneficial.

Hope tesla starts putting some USS/vision sensors in the chargers to detect if the space is actually available or not. We are seeing more sites that are "general parking" sometimes and the app says 6/12 available, but none of them are actually available.

Maybe the lease/contract for the current Ballarat site isn't secure? regardless more capacity and redundancy is always a good thing. Driving over to Melb soon and will go Lucas instead of Ballarat

Tesla get government funding to roll it out (which is fine), then include it for voting locations (currently #6 in Asia Pacific and #2 in Australia ). Voting should be for new sites not ones that already have funding/building.

Really hope we see some V4s in Australia soon (longer cable will help the open to all ev sites)

Hopefully some of the larger sites will get a megapack(s). In SA during the day the wholesale rate is literally free. Would be great to charge a megapack for free using renewables to power the superchargers.

if they are working at the time sure. Looking at Horsham both 50kw chargers are broken and the 1 ultra rapid had 1 of the 2 ports broken. the 50kw charger is even cheaper but will obviously take longer to charge.

Looking at a Adel-Melb trip soon, and Horsham seems like the biggest concern with only 3 chargers. Cant believe they only did 3. Every ev must stop here (keith is more optional if you stop at tailem bend, and ballarat is optional too).

7kw (assuming you get the maximum) is 50km for an hour of charging (35km in a X or S) (Wall Connector) IF youre coming from Adelaide on a full tank sure. If we are going to spend $12m id rather see 25 sites with real charging (charging 50kw minimum). than 75 sites with 7kw.

and at 7kw itll take all day to charge

Adelaide just getting delivery center will help with timelines (before it was reliant on 3rd party to deliver). You ordered march 25th with a window of 6-9 months. December 25th is your date. Nice christmas present.

I got a bit lucky when I ordered in feb. Wanted the longer range but also the AWD so went LR instead of RWD. now 2 weeks from delivery but also tesla honoured the price (been 2 price rises since then). Only $5k more than the current rwd price for the LR.

ordered at the end of feb (3 LR) and have a vin and EDD of sep 10th. Seems the latest batch with LR and P (and the batch before was the base RWD). so im sure the next one will be RWD

For me it was the range AND the AWD that pushed me to LR.

Y LR is the pefect model, im sure it will come to Australia just a question of how long.
