Also love the Raven suspension!
Got my performance with ludicrous 2 days ago.
Previous cars p85dl with the firm suspension built feb 2015 then p100dl.
I loved the sporty p85d suspension, was planted and precise. The p100d was too soft and floaty for me.
I had doubts about the raven...
No I haven't taken it to the SC for this but will bring it up when I go in for any other issue.
I have assumed that this is normal for the newer cars.
Does not feel nearly as precise as my previous P85D but that car had the tight suspension.
It feels as if the newer bushings in the steering...
All this makes me think twice about my model 3 reservation.
I wonder what will be in store for that model.
Cut range by 25% after 6 months to save the battery?
I also recently traded for a p100d. I knew at some point AP 2 was coming. I bight the car to drive so I really don't mind missing out.
Using autopilot in my car makes it identical to the cheapest models and really is a waste of the extra 70 grand we paid.
I only use it on long boring trips.
Maybe
Maybe I missed it but are you saying that a version 3 p90 runs 10.8.
What have other version 3 p90 cars run other than the TRC car.
Can a buyer of a version 3 battery p90d expect to run under 10.9?
The TRC P90 and P100 ran head to head in the 8th mile and the P 100 beat it by .2 seconds more than once.
Are there any other version 3P 90s that have run under 11 seconds?
The p100 is about .2 seconds quicker than the most recent P90 versions in the eighth and quarter-mile.that is a significant improvement.
The only P90 to run in the tens is the TRC version. When they ran head to head The P100 beat it by .2 in the 8th mile.
Yep,
Just got my P100D yesterday.
Compared to my previous p85dl the top end is greatly improved.
I can truly say that I will never yearn for any more acceleration.
Suspension is softer but still pretty good.
Maybe it's that we still support tesla and love their cars.
You are the only one here that seams to be pushing for a confrontation. You keep bringing up attorneys etc.
You are hurting tesla with your illogical defense.
I am planning on buying the p100d but also believe the 692 was misleading...
Nope Tesla is still the best as far as factory upgrades etc.
You just can not count on upgrading to a larger battery in the future as many have thought . So for me it will always be a short term car.
Maybe in the future there will be aftermarket batteries for upgrades.
It does decrease the...
I'm in the same boat. Was expecting to upgrade my p85D battery at some point.
Now I will just take the big loss and buy the p100.
For anyone reading this and planning on buying a Tesla.
Do not count on ever being able to upgrade despite what anyone tells you.
P85Dee: what do you think about the...
Feb 2015 with the early firm suspension. Upgraded to ludicrous .Black with tan interior, carbon dash, clear bra, 21 in turbin wheels, next gen front and rear seats.
21500 miles
Asking 94500
Lola,
I am thinking about upgrading my p85dl pre April suspension to a p100dl.
I really like my current suspension. Are the newer cars that much softer? This is my main concern and don't want to be disappointed with the handling.
Only for the street.
Thanks
The main issue continues to be lack of information.
Why do more recent ludicrous cars put out more power?
Future buyers of these cars will want to know.
This will likely be an ongoing issue and I believe is a consequence of the continuous improvements made that are never announced.
So it appears that the early p90dl can produce about 50 less kW than later cars.
So then if you want the car to come close to spec you should wait at least 6 months after intro before you buy.
I need to remember this lesson when the new roadster comes out and before I buy the model 3.
He meant 474
Now we know why the motor trend car was so fast.
No professional drivers, not weight , not conditions, not luck.
Just the obvious that so many have stated before.
More power !
Funny to revisit the other threads now on the 10.9 .
So the trap speed from motor trends run would be 122 or 120 at the least.
This is the key to understanding the difference between their car and a customers.
The truth is usually so simple unless you are in denial.
Different firmware, more power, higher top speed at the quarter.
i did not realize that there could such a difference using trap speed vs gps.
Motor trend needs to test a customer car and that would put an end to all of this.
If I was Teasla I would not allow one day to go by without explaining how to achieve the 10.9.
They only have themselves to blame for...
P85DEE
You keep forgetting about the MPH of 121 an 122.
This more than anything shows that the cars tested by car and driver and motor trend must have had more power.
I believe or hope that with time new updates will slowly increase the mph and we will see 10.9.
The 11.15 et was only at 116...
Lola has my respect For his very well thought out opinions and I have been reading and kept up with these horsepower and quarter mile issues from the beginning.
I believe and support everything he has stated.
Quick review of you und does show that every quarter mile p85 D time with insane has...
Yes, I agree that this approach is somewhat passive aggressive.
Unfortunately I do think that this type of approach may be the only way to obtain a response regarding the 10.9 second issue. I believe that prior inquiries into performance issues have not been responded to in a timely fashion.
I...
I recommend that you take the car in for service since it clearly does not meet the 10.9 spec. There must be something wrong with the drive train. If you don't then you may miss your time window and you will be criticized for complaining later. Do not expect an OTA for free. I recommend that all...
I do believe that the discussions Tesla had about the confusing horsepower numbers and their plan to clarify would be kind of embarrassing in this situation. Not saying they would scrub it but I bet they wish now that they had made the clarification last year rather than waiting until the recent...
