Thank you! I can feel the love 🤗
Now, It’s raining EVs here at our household 😮 BMW IX in it’s way and today Lucid called me to discuss delivery dates/options… my head is exploding with tough decisions 😹
well it finally happened. It’s my graduation day from this forum laugh 😆 Almost at the year mark!
My wife just picked up our MX (LR, 20”, midnight silver, white, 3461xx).
Only some minor paint issues and otherwise it looks quite good. 🤞
Thanks for being a great support group !
I frankly did not have an official order but put down deposit in March with a BMW dealership that I have worked with for years. They monitored any cancellations or open build (from their quota) for me and assigned me one as soon as one became available. I have the production number and as per...
VINing day here for me. Got assigned 3451xx today with EDD of June 12-21.
I will be in Europe but last time the local delivery center here in the Bay Area told me that they will deliver it home to my wife and I can sign of electronically. Only challenge is that I won’t be there to inspect it...
based on my experience from 2 weeks ago, you CAN still make changes and keep the original pricing. I was able to do so. I change from 22" wheels back to 20" wheels. After sending the request, I received a confirmation and update order details and there was no change to pricing. It was confirmed...
If you do not have a VIN yet, you can make changes to your oder and keep the original pricing. I was able to do so.. It will impact your EDD but will not change your pricing. You can make the changes by emailing [email protected].
I guess many of us will disagree. There are only a limited number of customers who will take such shoddy customer service from a car company. If Tesla wants to scale, it will have to up its game many fold. So let’s stop making excuses for the terrible customer experience and poor build quality...
HI tribe,
In one of the texts explaining the reason for EDD shift by months for me, the SA said that changing from 22" inch wheels to 20" inch wheels might be reason !!!! That did not make sense to me. Are all of you getting 22" inch wheels? I did not think that was the case and it is not like...
I was in that boat. I was assigned a VIN around March 20 (VIN 331....) and delivery kept shifting from March 25 until getting an appointment for early May. Then an hour before the appointed slot, they called to cancel. I decided to reject the car due to persistent delays with that VIN. Now my...
I am another one who went from delivering being cancelled an hour before the appointment to Dec-April23 delivery (I did reject the VIN after persistent delays). My problem with Tesla (more than its cars) is how contemptuous they are of their customers' time. This is reflective in the...
Not sure if they will put your order on hold for two months. I am in similar situation based on when my EDD ends up They mentioned that since the process is fully digital, they would be happy to deliver the car to my wife when I am out of town. Of course I want to be there to take delivery and...
Could not agree more. I had to literally plead to be disconnected from the troublesome VIN (built in March and still waiting on fixes). As I noted above, I was disconnected and then reconnected to the same VIN again and had to resend my request. They disconnected it again. They said that the...
I wish you were in California because I am in the opposite camp. I ordered my MX with 22" wheel but do not want those. I am afraid to update my order and risk messing up pricing.
The absolute nightmare called "Tesla Delivery" continues.
So after a week of being unVIN'd as per my request, I was paired back with the same old freakin VIN and the cycle of T+4 day ever shifting delivery window has started all over again. Calling to get information or answers is a frustrating...
Or that very few are being delivered.
True!
For that matter just because FWD is able to open does not mean that the occupants can get out.
Frankly FWDs are over-engineered novelty that in fact increases costs, complexity and reduce utility (roof racks etc)
All these insurance specific requirements are state specific. Here in California, it’s sufficient to upload a valid insurance card for an existing car.
I have been unVIN’d!! Yay! Yes yay because it was done at my request. I chose to reject persistently delayed delivery of my 331xxx car since being VIN’d in March due to QC issues. Did not want to take delivery of a car that was produced weeks ago and hasn’t cleared QC as yet and has no reliable...
Exactly. It is a financial transaction. We pay for a high quality and reliable car, Tesla is expected to deliver it. If the car quality is crappy, it does not matter if one got it a day after ordering or a year, it is still crappy.
Not sure why one needs to be grateful to Tesla gods. They are...
Yes it is the pesky airbag issue. It would seem that the supposed fix (replacement) did not work. My delivery that was canceled an hour before the scheduled time on April 23rd has now been pushed to May 7th and that is just an estimate. This is after their initial assessment on delivery day when...
Again I am comparing it an ICE road trip. Enjoying great restaurants along the way is one of the gear perks of these long trips. Eating packed meals or grocery store meals is not a great substitute for foodies.
Just to second this. We had major curb rashes on our Model X alloy wheels and Tesla fixed it for $200 per wheel. They told me that they too use a mobile guy who stops by on demand at the service center. They did say that these services are quite good and I could have as well contacted one directly.
Honestly, I will not hold my breath. Based on at least 3 first hand data points and couple of posting here, it seems they are still struggling with the airbag issue. I suspect that the supposed replacement fix is not resolving the issue. Hoping it is just a software issue versus a HW issue that...
This particular issue has to do with the airbag recall. It seems they replaced the faulty bags but the warning sign has not resolved. Perhaps the install was incorrect. It seems mine is one of first cars to get the fix so the team has limited experience with it.
Today is my delivery day, well supposedly. An hour before the pick up time, the delivery center calls me to tell me that they have an issue. The car is showing an airbag warning despite the replacement! 😡 was told that they are trying to fix it and will call me back in a couple of hours.Of...
Me too!
At this point, I refuse to pay $12k to be Tesla’s beta tester for the elusive FSD. I have been foolish enough to pay for it on my previous cars with the promise of imminently available FSD.
Hi folks,
If you have been following the saga of ever shifting delivery dates after getting a VIN assignment on March 22, finally positive news! After countless calls into a proverbial black hole, finally a SA was able to nudge/shame the delivery team into calling me back and lone behold, I am...
True. I can already see that in 2023/24, customer will have a wide range of high quality tops with excellent range and track record of excellent quality and customer service.
You nailed it. If not for the locked in price, I won’t bother. The current price to value (quality, customer experience etc) is not justifiable at all. If not for the fanatic followers, a company with shoddy quality and customer service won’t survive.
Exactly. Having gone through the process a couple of times recently, the underwriters watch the credit and other financial transactions like a hawk during this crucial period. The underwriting standards have become really stringent.
I doubt that any Model Xs are coming of the assembly line at this point. There is some issue holding up the factory. Some us have had VINs assigned for weeks with no delivery in sight.
I am im the same boat since March 25th. I have covered this in the main thread. After a dozen helpful calls, I finally heard that ,y car is in some sort of production hold at the factory waiting on some “undisclosed” resolution etc. quite frustrating TBH
Perhaps it is a scare tactics but it is infuriating nonetheless. On the flip side, Tesla does not respect customers' time by absolute lack of predictability, transparency and communication around the delivery. When they are suddenly ready to deliver at a short notice (mind you, most of the tine...
