Model 3 and the dirt accumulation design flaw?

Ha ha. I hadn't even noticed. Right. Yup the thread came up in a search result. What I found last night after I pulled into my garage was a very fine trail of fine dirt left by the car. No doubt because I drove several miles last night over a dry dirt road. The trail looks like what you might...

Model 3 and the dirt accumulation design flaw?

Hello. I've got a '23 M3P. I recently had a flat fixed at Schwab and had reason to believe that the lift was done incorrectly, so I took a peak at the underside when I got home. I found what appeared to be two popped plastic pins at the front of the (plastic) rear motor cover where it interfaces...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I've been following TSLA and SpaceX since 2013. I've never seen a bump in the stock that could in any way be associated with a successful SpaceX launch or landing, including the very first successful F9 landing on a drone ship. Sure, a successful integrated Starship flight will be huge for...

Most have prolly noticed by now, but us in the cheap seats using marketwatch to track the stock: that baby is waaay on the fritz, and rather maliciously in fact. Keeps taunting me with 309+ from an 2hrs or so back. Bad marketwatch.

Yup. I never set out on a road trip without the mobile connector, although, the only bit that I have ever needed (in an unplanned charging situation) is the J1772 adapter. When I've actually used it, the alternative would have been being stranded somewhere.

What is a "Relay/Contactor Fault" Indication on Gen 2 Mobile Connector?

If we are talking about 3 flashing reds on a Gen 2 Mobile Connector this just may be the most helpful post yet in this thread. Thank you!

What is a "Relay/Contactor Fault" Indication on Gen 2 Mobile Connector?

It's actually going on three years now since I encountered this problem and I see that I never posted the followup. In short, we never did figure out the problem. After a number of unhelpful calls to Tesla Service someone pointed out a phone number dedicated to charging issues. A call to that...

I don't know. It seems to me that a better way to tax unrealized gains would be to tax loans that are taken out against unrealized gains. It might not generate as much revenue from a few billionaires in a single pop, but it would probably get a lot more wealthy individuals paying their fair...

    Safety Score

After a day of "sporty" driving out in the "rur" of the Palouse, the score finally showed up. 93, dinged for "agressive turning". I'm gonna have to up my game. I know I can be more agressive than that : /

Another data point: I've got the latest ios app download and still no safety score, but the FSD button presented in the car and clicking it gave me the "in the queue" response, so pretty sure that the vehicle and/or mothership knows the score and the info displayed on the app is just informational.

My thought as well. Whether positive or negative for Tesla, we need to know the facts, and that will take some time. Hopefully a few of those fancy homes have NEST cams (or whatever they're called) that will help determine exactly what happened.

Ok so we should expect the sp to rise about 5x in the next few days leading up to the stock split, right? And it's tax free. Awesome, I think I got it. Thanks for all the help everybody. But who is Timmy?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yes. A share of stock is literally a fraction of the (perceived) value of the company. That underlying value comes from physical assets (real estate and machines), and data and organization and workers. If they turn on the machines then there's value from the goods produced, and an operating...

After hours TSLA price move doesn't appear to be shared by the broader market. (I don't see a similar after-hours move in FANG anyway.) Edit: I do see that futures are up though.

These EOQ dashes for "victory" are great for the occasional pop in share price. Not complaining. But it's hard to imagine that these end of qtr games don't take a toll. If the goal is the build-out of sustainable high-volume, high-quality manufacturing output with low defect rates, these seem...

Yes, would be cool if it's Starlink-based wi-fi. Good to know about Newsom. I don't envy anyone in elected office right now.
