    S70D lease takeover Massachusetts

For whatever miles I am over, I will pay the $0.25/mile fee to you. BMW's lease assumption fee is $500, not sure about Tesla, however I would pay that fee as well. I believe the only fee for you would be sales tax when you register the car in NJ.

No. Everything is listed above except I forgot to add that that the car also has the Premium Upgrades Package.

    Vibrations/rattling

Should it be expected that there be absolutely no vibrations or rattling when driving on rougher roads or grooved pavement? Same question with when playing music with the bass at only 3+.

Refreshed Model S: constant buzzing noise?

Interested in what they say... keep us posted. None of this is helpful to you -- but I have heard this noise as well but I think it usually has to do with the AC (summer here, 80-90 degrees) or the car waking up. I am going to pay more attention though for next time as there have been...

    End cap/cover for charger?

That thing is awesome! My set up is hard to describe -- I drilled a hole in my basement door that I feed the charging cable through to charge my car in the driveway (no garage). When I am not charging I push the charging cable back through the hole in the door with just the connector sticking...

    End cap/cover for charger?

So I could take the connector, plunge it in a bucket of water, take it out of the water and plug it into my car to charge and it would be fine?

    Interior door metal trim dents

I noticed transfer from my shorts when I got up and it literally wiped away with a very small amount of water and a cloth. Maybe what I experienced wasn't color transfer, or I got lucky by taking care of it right away since I always check the seat when I get out.

    End cap/cover for charger?

Haha -- Thanks for posting pic. Definitely would just use the cap and no chain attachment. Maybe there is a better option out there though.

    Interior door metal trim dents

    1) Yes you can get dents and dings in this metal. Good news that some service centers seem happy to replace as a courtesy. 2) Color transfer is a thing -- don't be surprised if it happens, and don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. It isn't a big deal and it is easy to take care of.

    End cap/cover for charger?

Anyone use or know a good cap/cover for the charger? I have found this so far: https://www.amazon.com/Motors-Charging-Charger-Protective-Silicone/dp/B01EEZRQRG

Regenerative brake settings and lead feet

I don't think anyone answered the OP's question (no offense). The OP isn't having an issue with getting used to one pedal driving -- rather he/she is questioning the efficiency of high vs low regen for those of us that tried to be as efficient as possible with our automatic transmissions by...

    My review of new 70D

I always plug in, unless I know I am going to go back out shortly. I really think it is smart to leave yourself with as much optionality as possible. I also want to reiterate my point about AP not being worth it for me -- I am simply advising people (if money is a consideration at all) to...

    Ordering first Model S

If I had to choose panoramic roof or upgraded sound, I would pick the panoramic roof. It really opens a car up and can be enjoyed 24/7. You aren't always going to be in the mood for or have the ear for (paying attention/really listening) upgraded sound, for various reasons. You need to return...

    Rear Keyless Entry Sensors

A quick press of the button (from the trunk, not from the key) never works for me when all the doors are locked when I approach the car from the rear -- I have to hold the button for a second or two. If approaching the car if the door handles happen to auto present when I go to the trunk, I...

    My review of new 70D

Great points about summon and auto park (I don't use those features). Those features along with TACC would probably make AP worth it to some people even if their real world autopilot scenario was similar to mine -- which is something I did not consider in my review.
  18. T

    My review of new 70D

Completely agree -- I keep a microfiber cloth in my glove box and it works great. I should have made that suggestion in my review for people who may (like me) enjoy keeping the screen fairly screen.
  19. T

    My review of new 70D

The points I was trying to make about autopilot were, a) before getting hyped about it and checking the option off when you order, consider your real world driving, and b), you can't take your eyes off the road, period. I'm new to Tesla and have not had my car that long, so in anticipation of...

    My review of new 70D

I got my new 70D (limited 75 kwh battery; lease) on July 18. Hopefully one or two people find this helpful, although I think most people who want a Tesla pretty much have their minds made up. The delivery experience -- Was fine. I went to the Dedham, MA, location and was surprised to be the...

    Tesla Lease Insurance Deductable Requirement

If you lease through Tesla I think they allow a $2,500 deductible. I got denied by US Bank with a credit score of 803... never followed up.

Creep Mode.. drifting backwards...a third option needed?

The hold is activated when the dash shows (H). If you have your foot very lightly on the brake (i.e. because the surface is level) then the hold won't activate unless you give the brake a firmer push. I love this feature as I'd rather keep my foot on the accelerator ready to go than on the brake.

    What's your 90%?

Refreshed 70D, 212 miles at 90%. Had the car for two weeks.

This Insurance problem could effect many Tesla owners.

GEICO can't determine battery size (model) by VIN. GEICO also can't pull anything about your car from the VIN like safety features. I just emailed with them to at least say the car has DRL, anti-lock brakes, anti-theft, airbags...

    Display maps in instrument cluster?

Is there any way to get the maps to show in the instrument cluster other than when you are using navigation? When I hold the scroll wheel and go to select navigation it says no route selected -- I don't want to have a route, I just like seeing the map. Anyone have a hack (or simple way that I...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

5/13/16 - Confirmed (S70D) 7/6/16 - Voicemail from SC to schedule a pickup that week. So under 2 months to get me the car, which is not bad. 7/7/16 - Leaving for vacation so have to call the SC and ask that they hold the car until 7/18/16... hopefully not an issue. SC location is Dedham...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Not sure. Originally I thought it was because I had selected July as my delivery preference, however after communicating with my DS that I was able to take delivery sooner, he let me know this was the soonest available. If it comes in July then I can call it a birthday present to myself!

    Battery degradation on lease

Just so this thread stays on point -- this has nothing to do with my personal usage or anyone's usage or driving style or anything like that. I am just wondering if Tesla takes battery degradation into account on lease turn in and if they do, do they consider some amount over a threshold to be...

    Battery degradation on lease

My question is though, for those who lease, does Tesla check this and charge any sort of fee for what they may consider overuse? As in if somene charged to 100% everyday for three years, and then went to turn their car in at the end of the lease. Would this cause substantial degradation to the...

    Battery degradation on lease

Doesn't your range decrease if you charge to 90-100% too often?
  37. T

    Battery degradation on lease

I haven't seen a lease agreement but if anyone else has... is there anything about battery degradation in it from the driver charging to max range too often or charging to 90% all the time? Edit: I thought I was under the battery forum. If this can be moved that would be great.

    S70 or S70D

You will be fine down in Florida with RWD. I know it can pour down there; the rear isn't going to break loose unless you want it to. Your trips to Canada or New York (during winter especially) are going to involve a lot of stopping and a lot of of planning due to range. Worst case scenario you...

Order a 70D and OTA upgrade to 75D later?

I actually changed my mind as well, after also being pretty set on doing the upgrade (and I ordered the 70D so 19 miles of range). Here was my thought process from a post on the Tesla forums in response to someone trying to figure out the upgrade for themselves as well: It really depends on...

    long distance trip

This is one reason I am upgrading to the 75D. I have family 200 miles away, so when visiting during the summer I can get there on a single charge without worry. From a pure range perspective, the cost/mile to get the extra range is actually less expensive than upgrading to the 90D (obviously...

Order a 70D and OTA upgrade to 75D later?

The email I got from Tesla the other day, same as the one from Hookemhorns, states this. "Should you decide to make the change post delivery, you may contact your local Service Center at any time to have it enabled for $3,250."
