Have you been uncorked? Post your impressions!

Don't forget that applying the "P" or "+" will also add an additional 5-6 HP. And I think I still have a VTEC sticker around the garage somewhere, that'll give another 10+HP!!!

Show me those Arachnid wheels / Spiders!

I do not have the acoustics, but definitely more road noise (expected it with such low profile tires). I actually notice that they feel slower than the 19s despite reduced weight. Handling though is definitely better, better cornering and more "ride on rails" feeling.

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

Probably not from my experience. In our case, they overfilled for winter, so they were at 46psi at 45 deg. out when I made the run. There was more than just slight wheel slip so that could count for a bit, but I did not see the traction control kick in. A tiny bit is a good indication of the...

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

*** Update *** Dry conditions tonight, little better time. Still had a little wheel slip, should be able to go below 4.0 if I let some air out of her tires I think... the SC "over-filled" them for winter.

The owner asked not to publicize photos so I will respect his wishes, but I will hint that you may catch it some days at the Grand Ave location and some days in Westmont ;-)

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

Tried it, and no... "performance" code didn't do anything, no menu option to emulate a 60D.

    Pictures of production Model 3s

Had a chance to sit in a white 3 for the first time on Monday morning... was drizzling but still well worth it. Didn't get a chance to check the vin, but it was only recently delivered to the midwest, first in Chicagoland area. Really, the proportions are much better than in the photos as some...

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

I've wondered about the "HP" figures, with the apps, I figure the calculations are basically WHP whereas the motor numbers of "at the crank" so to speak. Not really quite sure if or how to factor in losses due to the "drivetrain" in an electric vehicle. Perhaps some experts can chime in or...

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

Completely agree with this statement! The uncorked 75D is like a NOS injected vehicle... more of a rush, less smooth on the delivery, raw is the perfect description. The 90D (have not driven a 100D) feels more refined.

Homelink auto close reliable for you?

The Homelink auto-open/close is reliable for me but ONLY after tweaking the "activation" distance. I have to play around with it so that it would activate when I approached the edge of my driveway with the front facing the garage. If I backup... doesn't work most of the time. If I set the...

    Uncorking official for most 75Ds!

On iOS, it's “Powertools for Tesla," a paid app, no affiliation. But it's quite useful, and I only started using it because of the other tracking there here: 75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

75 and 75D variants increased performance from July 1st - software and hardware improvements?

Had my wife's S uncorked today and had a chance to collect the 0-60 this evening. Same stretch of road as the runs from my S. Here's the results. Before: After: Log file also attached. I have to note that the conditions were poor, light rain and slick payment, there was a little wheel...

I'll keep the log post for Krash on the other thread, so one down, two to go: confirmed initially with my butt-accelerometer, but now quantitatively tested. Before: And after: Confirmed one full second reduction. Now my wife's S has always been faster, her 0-60 is 5.0 (again, she does...

I've been following this thread since the very beginning, read every single post... called my local SC twice over the past few months, and asked again when I took an S in for service just a little over a week ago. Service: Things are improving

I'd say things are improving! Just went in for an annual service. Pulled into the SC, a tech immediately came over, took both my keys and directed me to the service manager. I told the service manager (who was new to me by the way) my name, pulled a manila file with my info already prepared...

Horrible Experience at Highland Park Model X

From our experience, my wife and I, it depends on the sales person. We picked up our early reservation X from Westmont, no real interaction with the sales staff there at that time. With our first S, I found an inventory one that matched our needs at Highland Park so my wife went up there to...

Delivery of MS 100D and Paint Protection (CS2 Titanium)

Yes, I did self-apply. Incredibly easy, just make sure you strip off old wax/polymers before application. There are quite a few youtube videos on how to do this and one coat (well one of CS light and one of exo, so 2 different coats) is all you need. For reference, I used to put as many as 10+...

Delivery of MS 100D and Paint Protection (CS2 Titanium)

Doubt you will ever really "notice" a difference. Was a Zaino user for over 20 years... before that, premium carnubas, then with the Tesla's switched over to ceramics. Plainly spoken, silver or light color cars just don't pop with the paint protection. Just enjoy the easy of cleaning that the...

    Chicago Tire Schedule

Agree with thefortunes on all counts, and real snow tires make a huge difference. For as long as I have owned my own vehicles, I pretty much budget in a set of winter wheels and tires when making a purchase. For the Tesla, the stock 19's are the winter rims and snow tires will be on the both...

For those that have gotten Arachnids

For what it's worth, I'm getting about 10% less range with my arachnids... was expected along with the increase in road noise. Anyone ever store firearms in the frunk?

In Illinois, firearms just have to be in a "container" that is enclosed, so glovebox is fine or in my case, the center console when covered. Quick access is key. I also thought about the frunk for transport to the range for example, but the emergency release from outside the vehicle makes that...
