Just FYI: I regularly charge from 50-80% except when going on long trips, I'll go to 90-100%. My Model S is nearly 6 years old and my range is down about 11%. That's with a mix of L1, L2, L3 charging.

Dang. Same here. Sometimes it doesn't work until 4-5 tries. Frustrating! I know it was the update. Also, my summons used to "remember" where it started from and stop at that point on the return but now, it just keeps going...

Yeah. Something doesn't seem right with that statement. Whenever I'm pulling 72 Amps @ 200 VAC, my miles/hour charge is about 42 mi/hr. Plenty slow/safe enough charge. Besides, the battery charging infrastructure only sees the resultant DC output from the twin chargers.

Just read that HW3 will be installed on cars that have fully paid FSD. I can't tell you how gratifying that feels after being teased on the forum by members that were absolutely positive that I would never get upgraded hardware without paying an additional cost.:cool:

Yeah. Just roll up to a Tesla service center. They'll check you in real quick, test the UMC and the car and let you know what happened. The UMC will be under warranty.

I did the same thing. It's a 5 amp microfuse. The very first one to the right on the long line of fuses at the bottom of the fuse box. This would be the fusebox beneath the windshield located above the 12 volt battery.

I found the ambient temperature makes a huge difference in battery current draw on my trip from Deming. Once things warmed up, my EBA (Estimated Battery on Arrival). was quite consistent.

Agreed. Apple created their "Bionic Chip" for the iPhone X as a way to insert more efficient AI processing instead of using solely software. It would be no surprise to me if Tesla was forced to do the same. Only time will tell.

Understood. However, this is not trivial. My purchase agreement shows $5000 for Enhanced Auto Pilot and $3000 for Full self-driving capability. As far as I'm concerned, Tesla has 8 grand of my money to provide all the Hardware and AI required to fulfill their end of the bargain. Period.

The Redondo Beach, Ca Supercharger is at a Hilton and it's one of the fasting charging stations I've been to. Hopefully, the Willcox Superchargers will be similar.:)

When a couple of Teslas caught fire after having the battery peirced by road debris, a titanium plate was designed to mitigate that problem and those plates were installed on all Teslas. No small expense or feat.

Going from Casa Grande fully charged to Willcox. If no Supercharger, it's a four hour charge at an RV park. (take a nap , I guess). Then, on to El Paso with a quick Supercharge in Canutillo, TX before going over Trans-mountain road.o_O

Exactly. Wrong way drivers would usually (not always) stay far "right" believing they were in the slow lane and out of most traffic but, they are actually driving in the fast lane of oncoming traffic.
