Finally got my car back today. They had to replace the HV pack in addition to the 12v. This was the diagnosis and fix per the invoice: The tech who worked on the car had already gone home so I didn’t get a detailed explanation as to what happened and why the HV battery failed after only 4 years...

If so too bad my warning didn’t come before the 12v went kaput

Did you hear back yet on what is causing your issues?

It was v2022.12.3.16. Yes it was the original battery. Still waiting to hear back from Tesla re the results of the diagnostics.

They said they are running the diagnostics but haven’t updated me on what the cause is yet.

Posted in another related thread, had same ordeal this past Friday, Tesla replaced the 12vbattery but it says that did not fix all issues so now waiting on further diagnostics.

Ok my ISA informed me that the VINS are intentionally assigned out of sequence to “prevent VIN swapping and racketeering”, and that my car was built this month. A pdf of the window sticker verified this. So relieved!

I got an email from my ISA asking to confirm my registration info and I replied asking what the build date is for my VIN (193xx) and whether it was a reject rework etc. Let’s see what they say but I don’t care at this point either unless they do say it was a delivery reject in which case...

Got my VIN today, 193xx, config 4/18, red aero SAP. Only concern is it appears to be a lower vin# compared to the others being posted here for the red Aeros which appear to be in the 220’s...

Saw this pic posted by a friend of a friend on Facebook - his 3 was delivered last week @ Marina Del Rey. The mismatch is so glaringly obvious I’m surprised he took delivery.

I have only spotted 2 in the wild here in greater LA - one on the 134fwy near the studios and one in DTLA. My sis who is waiting for delivery of hers in NorCal spots several 3s every day. Still I feel quite lucky to have had the chance to test drive it at a recent public EV event. Just sitting...

Actually my sister who also reserved online 3/31 & also invited & configured on 4/18 did get the 19” sport wheels and also EAP - and she still doesn’t have a VIN either (ordered in blue). Checked the chart just now and there’s only one vin from 4/18. So I don’t think it’s just the wheels. And...

No but have driven an S numerous times. IMHO the 3 is sportier & nimbler & more fun to drive than the S, and the other Tesla owners who were at the event agreed

I was fortunate enough to get the chance to test drive a 3 last month at an EV event hosted by the Cities of Glendale, Burbank & Pasadena. Had to wait 3 hours for my turn but it was soo worth it! In one word, it was AMAZING.

Yes though it may be quite a while before they get used to the key card versus the fobs since 3's are still quite a rare sighting here in SoCal.

Newbie here who just configured mine yesterday and waiting for delivery; but just dawned on me that leaving the M3 with valets may be a bit tricky/sticky - having to trust that they won't misplace/lose the keycard, having them fuss with the touchscreen, etc. I live in LA where valet parking is...
