2013 Model S Needs HV Battery

I had a previous post about this problem. The HV battery needs to be replaced, but yesterday my car finally went out on the hottest day of the year. Had to get it towed. Take a look at the diagnosis and tell me what you think. I just want to make sure this diagnosis is accurate because I don’t want to pay $13k for nothing!

Can they replace the 12 V battery first before anything else? How long ago was it replaced? They should usually last at least 2 years (note that the new li-ion 12 V batteries that Tesla has been using could last 10 years or much longer).

If you still have the issue, ask for a low cost Tesla repair option. These third-party companies can help with main battery repairs also, and for much less than $13k:
