I thought they switched to the v2 fobs in June of 2018. So you should have v2s.

I am puzzled as the instructions asks the user to press a button after placing the fob in the center console. i don' t any button except 2 USB and 12V charger port.

It did update my key fob and indicated it is successful as pressed the button on the screen. I was looking for a button on the console... may be that is where I got confused. Thx
The button will be on the screen. Have you gone to controls-> service -> key fob updates?

Yes. I did press the button on the screen
and did see the update successful message. The console confused me.

If you go to the software setting, it indicates if the software version is up to date or if there is an update waiting and gives a progress bar when it starts to download. Is that what we are talking about or has Tesla changed something or added something new? That was my question earlier that nobody answered.
EDIT: I get it now. 2019.32 adds a software notification in the status bar. I thought we were talking about the software pane.

Sorry, there was a miscommunication. I figured out what is happening. Tesla has now added a notification in the status bar to indicate an update is pending so you no longer need to go to the software pane to see if a new version is pending. I was talking about going to the software pane to view if an update was pending.
Interesting Electrek article that this update improves driving dynamics of the standard S & X Raven refresh models. I did not see this on my update notes, guessing because I have the Performance Model + Ludicrous. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Downloaded update this morning in my 2013 model S. Was asked to reprogram key fob. Key fob no longer worked. Multiple attempts later and car no longer recognizes key fob. Took into service for key fob program and new key fob. Service failed. Drove home in a loaner.
Yes we finally got the browser in Australia with this release, and yes the browser is even worse than you guys said it was on MCU1. If it's meant to be used to waste time while supercharging, it is successful since you waste so much time waiting for the browser to do anything.

I've never gotten traffic lights - so will be interesting to see whether I get any. Do you get it only when you go close to running a red light ?

I've gotten them in 2 scenarios in the past, one, almost running the light and the other with blinking yellow lights.
