I’m pretty sure 2021 unicorns have the 60kwh LFP and the better 3D6 Performance motorbe interesting to see if tesla offer an acceleration booster as the 2022 M3 RWD has a more powerful motor and larger battery (according to online accounts and redbook)
sure but i'm referring to just 2022 models with the slower 6.1 sec spec that may get option to boost acceleration in sacrifice of rangeI’m pretty sure 2021 unicorns have the 60kwh LFP and the better 3D6 Performance motor
The 2021 is faster, but yes in most of those tests the 2021 actually got a head start. So it isn't that accurate.Think the 2021 car got a few tenths headstart.

I think they are trying to sell more LR by widening the performance gap. I doubt you will ever get the option. Please take my $3k

Turns out the green 2021 has a smaller battery so there is a weight factor too.the 2021 actually got a head start. So it isn't that accurate
1835kg for the Unicorn versus 1740kg for the 2021 SR+ according to BjornTurns out the green 2021 has a smaller battery so there is a weight factor too.
idk - take a look at redbook.com.au3D7 in 2022 RWD has less power than 3D6 in 2021 SR+

It appears the range decrease message also applies to the M3P, this is a screen shot from the Model 3 & Y FB group. 20km decrease in WLTP... Is the logical conclusion then the Ryzen is not coming to the RWD (at least this quarter)?teslamotorsclub.com
ahaha Bjorn is a mad man.. he's funny and thorough.. yes the unicorn got the larger LFP 62KwH battery hence heavier RWD model 3 which also goes into 2022 vs 2021 which had the less energy density LFP 56KwH battery1835kg for the Unicorn versus 1740kg for the 2021 SR+ according to Bjorn

I have a 60kwh pack and a 3D6 motor. I’ve been under my car. Picked up car on 2/12/21.It's in USA...No hairpin motors there that I am aware of at least not in the SR+/RWD (3D6 is hairpin wound)
The 2021 would have been the 3D1 motor with a 55kWh LFP pack rated at 5.6s/100km - they called it a Unicorn but from the description it's not what we would call a Unicorn which has the bigger battery. Software limited to 239kW peak.
The 2022 would be the 3D5 motor with a 60kWh pack, rated to be the slower 6.1s/100km. Software limited to 208kW peak.
Yes i Can confirm the 3D6 motor that look like this... I couldn't take better photos this is from redditI’m pretty sure 2021 unicorns have the 60kwh LFP and the better 3D6 Performance motor
Yep. The 3D6 motor is just an update of the 3D1 motor , which is/was found on the Older Performance modelsYes i Can confirm the 3D6 motor that look like this... I couldn't take better photos this is from redditView attachment 767497
Not extensively tested yet, just normal school run.. 3D6 Motor Best Number I seen do far is 230.5kw and 451.75nm
Motor Specs is 220kw and 440nm according to this Model 3 Owner's Manual | Tesla

i think found on all older model 3 models rear motor including SR, SR+, LR also - until some time in 2020 (fremont builds) then 3D1 showed up again on Shanghai builds (before 3D6 started being used as the replacement)Yep.
