I think they are trying to sell more LR by widening the performance gap. I doubt you will ever get the option.

Ingenext don't offer power boost for any LFP model, regardless of the motor.

3D7 in 2022 RWD has less power than 3D6 in 2021 SR+

idk - take a look at redbook.com.au

i'd think 2022 and 'unicorn' 2021 RWD model 3 use same rear motor (on 2022 software limited output power) not sure where ppl getting info that 2021 has 3D6 and 2022 have 3D7

I’m pretty sure 2021 unicorns have the 60kwh LFP and the better 3D6 Performance motor

It's in USA...No hairpin motors there that I am aware of at least not in the SR+/RWD (3D6 is hairpin wound)

The 2021 would have been the 3D1 motor with a 55kWh LFP pack rated at 5.6s/100km - they called it a Unicorn but from the description it's not what we would call a Unicorn which has the bigger battery. Software limited to 239kW peak.

The 2022 would be the 3D5 motor with a 60kWh pack, rated to be the slower 6.1s/100km. Software limited to 208kW peak.

I have a 60kwh pack and a 3D6 motor. I’ve been under my car. Picked up car on 2/12/21.
YouTube vid with 3d6
