This weekend the sliding top to center console stoped staying open and second stop at cup holder stopped working. Hard to have a something in cup holder as it closes when cup removed. One good thing is when it broke the light in center console now turns off. Before it was always on.
Service center is 2 hours away. I have been able to repair trim, seals and other things myself.
Anyone else had this problem come up and figure out the repair?

The Center console lid has started closing itself under hard acceleration and on rough roads on my car 2 weeks after delivery.

They said there is some sort of clip that needs to be replaced.

That is not a heated windshield. Those are heated wiper blades which the MS always had and were advertised as such.

Sirius is listed on the Monroney sticker so that’s a BIG problem for them if it’s not there.

I believe tilting screen was advertised at one point. I’ll have to check. (Confirmed. It was listed on the Tesla website.)
It’s literally a heated windshield. It may not be heated in the area you stare through 🤣, but it’s definitely a heated windshield. I got to take a picture of my broken one.

I am simply angry now. They just told me they will keep the car until September 7th... That means the car will be there for 3 weeks

Car is in the body shop for a week already and just moving out and in twice a day.

I can't express my feelings about tesla and customer service... I don't understand why they need to keep the car and not doing anything with it...
I told them to release the car and I'll go to a different tesla location.

I seriously doubt they will agree to cover my monthly payment for keeping the car. Will see what they are going to say

Ugh. That’s miserable. Did they give an indication of why?

Saying they are waiting for parts and while they are waiting they sent the car to the body shop which simply doing nothing for a week already.

Seems a bit silly of them. For me they’re just scheduling Mobile for weeks ahead for replacement parts as it’s clear they don’t have anything for these new cars on hand. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t do the same for your car, even if it requires bringing it in.

Because this is Lynnwood Tesla and they are… I don’t know right word to describe them.

My second time when I bring the car to them and 2nd time they are making everything bad. 1st time I was speaking with HQ and regional manager to force them to make job properly

What SC did you take it to?
The one in SoDo. Every time I take my car here, everything is done same-day which has been p awesome.

Btw regarding the driver side mirror jiggle - I had mobile tech do a complete replacement with a new unit but issue is still present with the new unit. So seems like the jiggle is caused upstream in either the design or mamufacture. Either that or I got really unlucky with two bad mirror units.

Thanks for the pics. I guess that qualifies though it’s not at all close to what a real heated windshield is. I have one in my Range Rover and it…heats the windshield. All of it.

It looks like they just moved the heating element from the wiper to the windshield to accomplish the same thing as having heated wiper nozzles.

Once again, they are calling things something other than what they really are. Like autopilot, FSD, or in this case, heated windshield.

I can’t wait to see what “active noise cancellation” really means to Tesla.

I can’t wait to see what “active noise cancellation” really means to Tesla.

Oh we all know what it means. It's a downloadable set of audio tracks, - waterfall, train in distance, rain, ocean sounds, birds cooing - played really loudly in the car to drown out road noise.

By the way, I had a heated windshield back in 1993 in the UK in my Ford Escort. You could see the circuity running through the windscreen (ahem) pretty easily when looking at the sky. Also, my neighbor's 2020 eGolf has a freaking heated windshield. What did you expect for the stupid amount of money we all spent on Teslas? Front--bumper camera? 360-degree camera view? Heated windscreen? Come on - they didn't even give us a full steering wheel, and removed the stalks to save money!

2022 Teslas will put all this stuff back. Maybe. Probably. Not happening.

Sigh.

I really “like” new Tesla’s policy “not to facing customer”. No one is answering me over the chat system. When I try to call them there is no more option to speak with service, only if you know extension number. I don’t know any.
A year ago I was fighting Tesla and was able to contact with regional manager, after this, I was emailing with service adviser lead at that Tesla SC. Of course, I have his email.

I have sent an email with a request to immediately release my car if they can't fix it. Will give him 12h to answer. After that I will climb up to the regional manager again.
