2021+ Model S LR Delivery Tracking

I don't doubt that revenue grabbing happens, but in the case of Plaids, the reason why the website shows delivery for December is simply because there is existing inventory of them from the initial batch of Plaids that were built. I got this information from my SA at Tesla.
That may be true that there is existing inventory, but doubtful it’s from the “initial batch”. That can easily be verified looking at the VINs. But since the MS line started delivering in June, Plaids have always had a short delivery estimate. And if there is existing inventory of Plaids (something else that has been persistent for months) it’s because they build them on spec understanding the demand is so great they can be sold immediately. In the meantime there are still people with pre-refresh orders from 2020 that are waiting for their MSLR 19” wheel order to be delivered. Just shameful customer treatment.

Another data point for all who are waiting / trying to predict...
Config: Model S LR, Blue, 19" (no other options selected)
Ordered: July 19, 2021
Delivered: Nov 23, 2021

Original ETA was Oct 2021, but the ETA bounced all over the place, sometimes out as far as March 2022.
1 week before delivery, ETA still said Jan 28 to Feb 23
On Nov 17, it updated to Nov 20 to Dec 1

Best of luck and happy driving!

I'm a couple weeks later than you. Will take this as a good sign. :)

Can you post some pictures of the car and take a detailed look for any differences if it is indeed a 22'? Would be the first confirmed delivery i believe! Also its my exact configuration so I like to see them :D. I ordered ~20 days before you so hopefully mine will come soon!

ANY DAY IS FRIDAY AT FREAKING NOON!!! Finally got the invite to schedule it at 5:13pm today. SO EXCITED!!
I got a text today at 12:34 to schedule a home delivery. Soonest I could get was 12/2 so I stopped by Eatonville to see if it was on site. It wasn't as of yet, or so I was told.

I did see a MSLR MSM/Cream 19" ready for pickup. Car was just breathtaking.

I called my delivery center and they told me my car will arrive on Friday. Pickup is now 10am Saturday. I might swing by Friday evening Just to say hello.

Note: That's my 2017 White Model X in the background of the 2nd photo that I traded for the X...

I already popped the front plate holder off. I'm currently at 'The Specialists Detail Studio' in Las Vegas getting Xpel Prime XR tint installed.. 20% all around, 70% on the windshield. I'll be back in January (Theo's first open slot) to get Paint correction, PPF on the high impact areas, and cQuartz Finest Reserve installed.

P.S. I haven't observed any changes in the 2022 vs 2021 VINs. The car was delivered without the rear-trunk load floor, but they have that on order and will drop it off to me when it arrives.

Blue is beautiful. :)

Just a note that proactive deliveries are not always made. Quite a few forum members heard crickets for weeks or months, and had to make a service appointment to get their missing parts.

What kind of pricing for the PPF and ceramic? Congrats, looks beautiful!

Delivery date scheduled for today at 12PM...pushed to Friday at 12PM...now pushed to Saturday at 12PM. At this rate I'll be getting my 2021 model in 2022! I have to imagine Thanksgiving is having an impact on things, which is understandable.
...Boggles the mind that this was not foreseen and completely predictable.

Stretch goals are fine and dandy inside the company, but customers deserve predictability.

The full package ( tint, paint correction, PPF, ceramic coating ) is typically $5k to $7k... could be more or less but depends on the PPF coverage you want, which ceramic coating (and if you want the calipers and wheels coated, etc), and the condition of the paint before they start. If you ping their 'Contact Us' button on the web site, he responds pretty quickly.

Theo and team did my X when I bought it in 2017, and I got to see that they were as detail oriented as I was... no one else in Vegas gets to touch my cars.. :)

Even after 4 years on the X... everyone that saw it thought it was brand new and commented on how the X glowed.

Yay!!! My previous S was MSM with light gray leather. She was well loved!
