Feels like cream interiors just got pushed. RN1150 blue/cream, had been steady as a rock for almost a month at 10/19-11/8, just pushed back 11 days to 10/30-11/19. This is annoying. Definitely feels like false precision.

Not monitoring closely, however it does seem like a few posts with cream pushed back a tad and ironically white seemed to move up a little. NOT positive and since we exist in Tesla World, it means little either way. No rules, no reasons, just a wild, WILD ride for us.Feels like cream interiors just got pushed. Picked up my LR this morning - First time driving an S, the car is awesome. Will be driving more this holiday weekend and revert back with my thoughts and pictures.Similar story, was October 30-November 19th since the initial update. Then last week went to Sept 9-20, then yesterday (Aug 31) switched to EDD Aug 31-Sept 3, and got a VIN and request for final payment! Delivery appt scheduled for Friday morning.
Wonder if one of us will be the first MS in Waukesha county !! 9/11 - 9/209/16-9/30, been that way for a few days now. Back down from end of Oct into Nov. Chicago delivery. No vin or anything.

It does get loud without distortion. But compared to the Model 3, it does not sound as good. What would you equate the sound system to? I had the Bose one in my last truck, which was plenty for me in a vehicle. Can you turn it fairly loud without distortion? Or not so much?
Thanks for the detailed write up! I'm still holding with a late November-early December delivery, and I'm hoping more things get ironed out by then.
I'm on 2021.424.4. My understanding is that 32.5 is just starting to roll out. Hopefully I will have it soon.Have you gotten 2021.32.5 yet? According to this, it makes a huge difference in the audio.
Congrats!! Looking forward to your thorough review, at your convenience. Thx!!Y'all. Y'all! I picked up the car today, finally! I walked around it at the SA and only found a couple of minor things; overall the fit and finish seem great. I'd take photos but it's pouring down rain at the moment. Manufacturing date says August btw.
There are a few minor issues that will need to be fixed (the front doors, particularly the front passenger door, take a moderate shove to fully close; also there's some bag of insulating foam that's loose behind the driver's side front quarter panel) but mostly it's great. I'll be doing a more detailed inspection tomorrow though.
I thought I would leave the front license plate holder alone, but ... man it sticks way out. Like OK, I get that it sticks out just farther than the lip of the front bumper but ... ew. I'm considering a couple of options; one is to just yank the thing off like everyone else (the SA actually suggested it, even though front plates are supposedly required here in TX) and another is to design->3D print->have made a thinner plate mount. The plate mount sticks out probably 1/2" farther than the previous one did and I'd bet a slimmer one would look a lot better. I also think it'll look better with nothing, so ... undecided.
I'm going to park the 2018 and 2021 next to each other to check some of these out, but just from initial impressions, comparing the two:
Inside is really nice. Didn't hear any squeaks or rattles, road noise was pretty good though honestly I thought the 2018 was also pretty good. I know the cream isn't for everyone but I really like it. The subwoofer is a bit weak, though it looks like in newer software there's an adjustment for that (this one came with 2021.11.102). The hubcaps ... look like hubcaps. I'm leaving them on for a bit but I'm going to take a trip around Beltway 8 (80+ miles, probably, I've never driven the whole circle before) once with the hubcaps and once without just to try to get an idea of the actual impact on mileage. I already bought center caps and covers for the lug nuts so I can run without the hubcaps but if someone makes slipstream-look wheels that are 19-20" and they aren't absurdly expensive I'm definitely going to consider that.
- The frunk seems a bit smaller? It could just be me though. The little sub-trunk in the back also seems smaller, and the two-section lid for that is now just one section.
- The underside of the hood seems ... unfinished. I never really noticed it on the 2018 so maybe it's the same but over the actual frunk part it seems like the 2018 has something? There are a bunch of big gaps in the brace that goes around the frunk seal and paint spray doesn't totally get inside them.
- The frunk, when open, is not stable at all - the struts are fine, and it stays open, but on the 2018 when you open it, it is stable. With the new one there are at least a couple of inches of wobble if you shake it.
- Closing the frunk takes a lot more effort too. I almost feel like it's just not adjusted quite right, but you really have to shove it to close. The SA also seemed to think this was normal.
- Granted it was hot and sunny when I picked it up, but I noticed more heat radiating from the glass roof than I remember on the 2018, and the A/C seemed to not be quite as cold as the 2018. That said, when I got home (~45 minutes) I realized that the A/C was set to manual, not auto, so I'm going to re-evaluate.
Anyway I had actual work to do today, so I'm getting back to that but this is the most excited I've been about a car since ... well since I got the 2018 Model S. Wheee!
As a Purdue alum, I'm more inclined to say it's a horrible combination as it's just too much like those IU hicks.Love your choice of red with white interior on 21"!! Best wishes...

SA got back to me today. He made the change from White interior to Cream for me and added that "ETA for Model S is changing in a good way, slight chance you get yours a bit sooner" I guess I can take that for what its worth.I share the concern, and I've posted here a few times that I've been on the fence about pushing my order. But a few points that are causing me to not push my order just yet:
- Elon is talking about Tesla overall -- so this includes the "Euro Invasion" deliveries of 3/Y coming out of the China factory.
- Elon has been known to exaggerate from time to time. So it might not be as good for the company / bad for customers as he says.
- We have evidence that SCs are taking up factory slack to a certain extent. It seems 1-2 notches more rigorous than in the past (depending on the SC).
- There's little harm in being super picky at delivery, and taking your time with the checklist. You may still have issues come up once you drive off the lot (rattles, battery weirdness, etc), but your chances are much lower if you work the checklist. And if there *are* issues, you reject the car and come back later. Hopefully not at EOY rush time. And you get a 2022 model year car for your trouble.
- Considering the horror show of this thread and early deliveries, could the EOQ rush really be any worse?
Welcome to this forum sir. Tons of great info and knowledgeable people here. Great community, you'll have fun.Welcome to the wild-ride coaster ....

OK got to ask, how did you determine there is a bag of insulation?also there's some bag of insulating foam that's loose behind the driver's side front quarter panel)
The doors seem to be very common issue. What did the SA say about that?
Did they agree to fixing all these issues before you take delivery?
Hah ... a photo is probably a better for this one. The best way I can think of to describe it - there's this packaging material they use on heavy objects sometimes, where they put a thin layer of plastic on it, then spray in polyurethane expanding foam, close the plastic, then seal the box; the foam expands to match the contour of your item and the plastic membrane makes it easy to remove. This looked exactly like that - a thin plastic membrane that they had sprayed foam into, probably with the intent that the foam would expand into whatever was around it and stay in place on its own. It looks like that just came loose, so there's this weirdly-shaped foam brick encased in black plastic just sitting in there. It doesn't rattle or anything, but I figure it's there for a reason. The guy said they'd have to remove the body panel to figure out where it goes and I'll admit I'm not 100% happy with the notion of taking the car apart less than a month after they put it together so that the local shop can figure out what the thing is. I honestly might just leave it. If Tesla service is anything like Audi or Alfa Romeo service, they're just going to throw it away anyway.OK got to ask, how did you determine there is a bag of insulation?
A question for the experienced here. My EDD is Oct 5 - Oct 19 at this point. My portal status does NOT show a VIN. A few minutes ago I received an email from Tesla stating 'final balance is now ready' and giving payment details. I edited the JavaScript on my portal page and it shows a populated mapid AND a populated VIN. What the ?
I mostly had music turned off on the drive home, to listen for squeaks and rattles, but when I got home I sat in the driveway and listened to music and I'll say that yeah, the sound system was a tad disappointing. The subwoofer seemed to be missing? Like low bass was just not there. The rest was OK, but not great. I'd compare it to post-Samsung harman/kardon car audio - it's OK, maybe B-, but you really expect it to be better.Biggest disappoint: The sound system. Not nearly as good as the Model 3, although others have posted it is vastly improved with 2021.32.5 software update, which I have not yet received. It’s also clunky to change media sources.
