If there’s any trend, which with Tesla there is it. It seems build dates at 6 days behind VINs. Tigers got his yesterday and his build date was 10/29. I assume mine was 10/30 or 10/30.
If this theory holds true, NF VINs would start Tuesday.
Along with my VIN , shortened delivery window. 11/17 to 11/23. Thanksgiving delivery. Gobble gobble.
I’m still sitting at 12/13-1/2 with no movement for weeks now. Not complaining but I I’m thinking I should see some kind of movement soon, even if that means pushing me back to next year. Still think I have a good chance in getting my car by EOY

Well I will say that because I have an earlier EDD doesn’t make it true. I could get pushed back to Jan/Feb with a blink of an eye. I imagine we will both get some kind of updated EDD soon…ish

Just picked my baby up from Mt Kisco. 3 minor issues to sort: 2 wheel arch body panels need slight adjustment on the inside (bending), and one wheel arch inside trim needs sticking in. Other than that it's beautiful. One thing that stood out was the wood seems darker than some of the early cars I saw. I love the darker wood! Off for a drive home now!

Just one more data point. According to my SA, cars build date was 11/4.
So a few theories -
1. Either the 2022 VINs for Model S are waiting for something
2. It was completed that day and not started. Will look at the door jam later.
Will be interesting to see what this upcoming week brings.

an original Tesla part at that too!!!
I was told it takes one day to build the car, so 11/4 would be the day it started and completed building.
Who said November will be 2022 vin?
I was told that Tesla went back to December 31 was the last 2021.
That’s how they did it for many years.
