2021 Quarter 2 Model Y Delivery Experience Discussion

This is my first Tesla experience. North Houston service center was great. Had an appointment for 10am and showed up at 950am and my car was first in a line of cars to be delivered. As I was looking over the car the delivery specialist came out, looked at my DL, had me sign on his phone and handed me the keys. He asked if I had any questions, which I didnā€™t so I was out in 5 minutes. It was raining so did a quick inspection and headed out. So far no issues with the car that Iā€™ve noticed. Build quality was excellent and paint was good. Iā€™m very happy with the experience. Last week my wife told me we needed to keep one gasoline car and that she didnā€™t want to replace her car. After driving the model Y she wants to know when we can replace her car with a Tesla. So ordered a M3P for me and she will take over the Y. We are going fully electric.

Build quality was excellent and paint was good. Iā€™m very happy with the experience. Last week my wife told me we needed to keep one gasoline car and that she didnā€™t want to replace her car. After driving the model Y she wants to know when we can replace her car with a Tesla. So ordered a M3P for me and she will take over the Y. We are going fully electric.

Picked up my MY5 today. Vin 183

Lumbar support for passenger is still there.

Car had a few minor issues that I already scheduled a service appointment for.

1) Plastic grommet missing from driver side front wheel well.

2) Passenger Rear Pillar trim is coming out/ gap

3) Driver side trim has a small bubble in it.

4) Trunk is slightly uneven on one side. Wouldn't have noticed it if i didn't use the checklist.

5) Wheels need balancing / alignment i believe. At highway speeds the steering wheel vibrates.

Otherwise car is flawless. Proper QC would have caught all this but its very minor and I already have a service scheduled.

Forgot to mention I do have the passenger lumbar support. VIN 183xx
 
Ordered my Y (Blue, Long Range) on May 8. Appointment to take delivery is Tuesday, June 3. In my book, that's not too bad for an item such as this. The web process was pretty smooth for me. The SA was highly, highly responsive. He even texted and emailed me twice today with some last details. I'll send a report on how it goes Tuesday.

Ordered my Y (Blue, Long Range) on May 8. Appointment to take delivery is Tuesday, June 3. In my book, that's not too bad for an item such as this. The web process was pretty smooth for me. The SA was highly, highly responsive. He even texted and emailed me twice today with some last details. I'll send a report on how it goes Tuesday.
Donā€™t forget to use a checklist!
 
Took delivery today of my new Y. Blue, White interior, Tow Hitch, Long Range. Spent over an hour with the check list and glad to say I did not find a thing that needed attention. Fit and finish was pretty darn flawless. Controls, Cameras, Stitching, seals all seemed as they should be. The headlights were not the new ones. Lumbar support on the passenger side as gone. Even so, I am thrilled. The ride is soooooooo smooth. Spent the afternoon putting accessories in place (mud flaps. interior trays, protective film lower panels ahead of the rear wheels, screen protector). In my mind, mud flaps should really be standard.

Ordered mine a day after yours, 7 seater, in AZ. Haven't heard anything yet.
 
I was told this morning via text that my Model Y was going to be delivered in 24 hours. On June 30th. No warning , no asking, no confirmation ā€¦.. we did not even sign up for home deliveryā€¦ wanted to pick up. We are on vacation and cannot get it by time tomorrow. they need to meet their numbers for Q2 we donā€™t even have option to pick up July 1st. So now we need to wait for next one that is availableā€¦. Mmmmmmmmā€¦ā€¦ Tesla! We need better customer service . More care! Has anyone else experienced this?
