2023.20.9 to FSD Version Beta?

I have a 3023 RWD with HW3 and 2023.20.9.

If I upgrade today to FSD

1. How long after subscription does it take? Immediately, 1 hour or day?
2. What version will I get?
3. Can I immediately switch to beta?
4. What is main difference between FSD and Beta?

2023.20.9 has FSD 11.3.6 in it, which supports HW3 (but not HW4) cars. So you should be able to get FSD beta pretty quickly.

No such thing as FSD. Here is Tesla [obtuse and confusing] nomenclature.

• FSD Capability package (the option package you are buying/subscribing to)
• FSD Computer (the name for HW3 and HW4)
• FSD Beta (aka: Autosteer on City streets and is quasi restricted testing program before the release of Autosteer on City streets)

Now more confused before purchase. If I do subscription will it? Your last bullet is confusing.

So Autosteer, red light / stop sign stops will not work at all outside major city?

1. Auto navigation on suburban side roads
2, Stop at red lights and stop signs
