There are parts of Oregon, eg, crater lake, that we can’t visit w/ my mid M3, which is supposed to be 263 range but now is 224 actual. My wife just drove for spring break from PDX to Fresno CA and it was a lot of stops. Just hoping we don’t see that type of degradation and they add more Superchargers to the current dead zones.
I would expect the charging infrastructure to grow rapidly with the proliferation of Tesla's but you will see a similar 225 ish real world range in the 4680 Y, I changed out the tires on mine to 275 width and my range is more like 200 to 210 now, I am not sure how people are ever getting actual range listed by the EPA

Update on our situation. So everyone at our credit union (3.5%) was either out with covid or on spring break today. So we could not take delivery w/ our financing of SR MY. I don't want to pay interest at 200pts higher w/ Tesla. We already lost rate lock at 2.79% (which was phenomenal). Tesla would not hold the car until Tuesday (why I don't know). Switched back to LR AWD MY. EDD now w/in a week as opposed to a month. Hope that holds and helps others. No idea why EDD would move up after switching. They are trying to say this was a hold/rejection (our only one) but I think that is totally sus given they assigned the delivery window without our input and wouldn't allow us to third-party finance. Guess we will have a fight if next assigned car was quality issues w/ the build.

MYLR White, 19inch (no other options)
OD: 1/17 PDX, Oregon
EDD: 2/9-3/9
EDD2:2/20-3/27
EDD3: 2/16-3/16
EDD4: 3/12-3/31
EDD5: 3/8-3/31 (2/22)
EDD6: 3/27-3/31 (3/4)
EDD7: 3/28-3/31 (?)
EDD8: 4/6-5/4 (3/22)
EDD9: 3/31-4/7 (3/31 after switching from SR back to LR).

Tesla just dropped 200+ units of AWD ... There is a freaking TON of AWD inventory.

I wouldn't get a AWD. LR is the bargain, and why Tesla wants most ppl to move to AWD.

I am glad you didn't get the AWD and stuck to LR. Maybe I'll see you at Tigard delivery centers in a few days. I definitely owe you beer 🍺!!

Cheers.

Tucson, AZ delivery
EDD delayed again: Now 6/1 - 6/30

Could be problematic as we're planning on being out of town late June through July. Anyone have experience with delivery dates conflicting with travel dates?
several Tesla employees told me that VIN assignment means that the car configuration you ordered is somewhere in the build process. VIN numbers get assigned anywhere from the start of a build up to the end of the build. Fremont factory is turning out cars about every 8 mins, so by the time you check on it, the car may already be built.
OD 3/3 Model Y: Midnight silver/white interior, 5 seater Delivery 5/8-6/13 Last week I got a text: Delivery date was set for 3/29 but no VIN, but then pushed back to 5/1-11.
We were on vacation last week, so I did the Tesla Power of Attorney form for a friend to pickup the car for us. I took it to the local Tesla dealer and they were good with it. I got a cashiers check and gave it to my friend for payment. I provided my current insurance to the sales lady and she marked me down for insurance.
This morning I replied back to the phone number and asked why my date was pushed back. They said that I would be notified once a VIN is assigned and delivery schedule. Less then an hour later I saw in the Tesla app that a VIN was assigned. 5mins later, I got a text and email to schedule my delivery day. About an hour later I got a call from a guy at Tesla in Rocklin, CA verifying my configuration, payment option, trade-in, delivery day/time. He told me to have the cashiers check made out to Tesla Inc. Picking up the car Thursday 4/6.

OD 3/3? Wow you’re lucky. So frustrating but congratulations.

Just noticed that got Vin assigned.

Newbie here, waiting for my Model Y LR, white interior, no other upgrades. I ordered on Jan 16 and received an estimated arrival of January-March 31. On March 31 it changed to whatever today's date is until ten days later. I have not gotten a VIN. Looking at the data on this forum, almost everyone that ordered mid-january got their car in under 60 days. I live three hours North of Giga-Texas. I know there's a randomness to this but I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to find out a real date of delivery, or if there's something wrong with my order.
