2023 model y front housing camera rattle

Hey everyone got my y recently and the front housing camera rattles a lot. I took it the service center it stopped rattling for a couple days and now it is back again. Has anyone fixed this issue with their own DIY method on a 2023 model y?

Mine starting to rattles too. Not bad but I do hear it going over bumps. No fix yet.

Yup everything I go through a bumpy road it’s non stop and if I push on it it stops

Got a rattler too. Definitely something inside the forward camera housing is loose.
I'm contemplating on looking inside to fix the rattler DiY, but might risk making the camera off calibration.
Anybody got it fixed?

FWIW when i opened my camera housing, the cabin camera was not fully attached. Is your cabin camera recessed into the housing? maybe its that.

Was actually pretty easy to remove the mirror and pull the housing cover off to take a look. It worked! So my rattle was more the rear view mirror. You can replicate the issue by just tapping lightling on the black mirror housing. If it shakes/rattles a bit then you have a problem. Also, if you try to move the mirror slightly, you can tell something is off/a little loose. And the...

Make a service appointment. They will put felt on the inside camera mount and the outer trim piece. While obviously a poor design from the factory, the fix should be permanent.

My May 2023 model Y left side camera was loose. I took it for service and they replaced the camera, or so they claim on the invoice.

My issue at first was one of the clips on the inner housing wasn’t fully seated. This fixed the rattle for a little bit but then it came back. Took it back apart and put a small strip of thin foam tape (was actually the leftover foam tape that came with a set of wheel covers I ordered) at the front edge and now the rattle is gone.

LOL yeah you got to clean EVERYTHING out of your car before bringing to tesla for NVH check. But was it the EZPass afterall?

I have this problem when taking delivery. Went to Fremont SC and they quickly verified it and says it's a known issue that needs some insulation. Mine got fixed within an hour.

Update on mine: mobile service came out and fixed the rattle. But after a couple of weeks, I have it again - less intensity but same area. Hoping the fix wasn't done properly or that they have a new permanent solution.

Got the Y in May with the camera housing rattle, did nothing - the rattler may have settled and the noise have since disappeared.

I opened mine up and put a strip of foam tape between the plastic housing and the metal bracket. Noise completely stopped.

This is the guide that I followed. The guy here uses rubber feet, but I use 3/4” thick foam tape instead.
