Do you know when will depart ASIAN CAPTAIN port of Shanghai ?View attachment 977207
ASIAN CAPTAIN ETA Izmir 18 Oct, KOPER 22 OctSo to summarize, we have:
GLOVIS COSMOS ETA Southampton 3 Oct.
CRYSTAL RAY ETA Zeebrugge around 17 Oct
DREAM DIVA ETA Vancouver around 6 Oct
ASIAN CAPTAIN ETA Izmir 18 Oct, KOPER 22 Oct
There is also a possibility that Teslas are being moved on GRANDE ROMA to Thailand (5 Oct) Ashdod (25 Oct) and Zeebrugge (5 Nov).
It's unusually busy for this phase of the quarter - it looks like it will be a bumper Q4!
It could be both, but Koper is almost 3 times nearer to Italy then Zeebrugge, so I'll bet on Asian Captain.ASIAN CAPTAIN ETA Izmir 18 Oct, KOPER 22 Oct
Can you tell me if this ship carries Tesla to Italy or can I hope it is Crystal Ray? Thank you
I am aware of TULANE however she is only docking in Southampton's Eastern Docks and so will not have any Teslas onboard.@m
Probably wrong but throwing it on your radar Mr M, Tulane is a Wallenius ship thats loaded somewhere in Shanghai and is also heading straight to Southampton just behind Glovis Cosmos. Don't know if Tesla have ever used Wallenius for shipping, its not a Volvo/Polestar shipment as they go into Bristol.
The ship is heading for Southampton - there is no doubt about this.So Glovis Cosmos is going to Antwerp or Southamtop ? This is the real question
The latter.is glovis cosmos a late q3 boat or an unusually early q4 boat?
And do we think she is carrying the last of the last Model 3?The latter.
There is the possibility that GRANDE ROMA may have some Teslas for Italy onboard. It could be both, but Koper is almost 3 times nearer to Italy then Zeebrugge, so I'll bet on Asian Captain.
I expect so.And do we think she is carrying the last of the last Model 3?
There is the possibility that GRANDE ROMA may have some Teslas for Italy onboard.
She arrives in Gioia Tauro on 28 Oct.
We have seen Grimaldi ships use this port before but I have never seen any evidence that they unloaded Teslas here.
There has been plenty of wishful thinking but no evidence!
But then no ship transports Model 3 to Italy? There is the possibility that GRANDE ROMA may have some Teslas for Italy onboard.

Can you put ASIAN CAPTAIN on the map please ?You may find that CRYSTAL RAY's position freezes on the tracking map at some time in the next few days as she enters an area regarded by some as high risk. Ships operated by CRYSTAL RAY's company appear to have instructed their Master's to take a variety of security measures including to switch off their AIS transmitter when passing through high risk areas. They are usually switched back on once the ship is established in the Red Sea.
The term used to describe this behaviour is "going dark" and is usually the practice of sanction busting tankers or fishing boats fishing illegally. Bizarrely, switching off the AIS transmitter triggers alarms in all sorts of state electronic surveillance systems and actually draws attention to the ship. Bear in mind the threat in this case is from state sponsored paramilitaries rather then pirates.
Koper (Capodistria) is literally on the border with Italy, a stone's throw from Trieste. But then no ship transports Model 3 to Italy?
All the ships we are monitoring do not have a satellite transmitter, or if they do they do not make the data public. There are big holes in ship tracking, precisely because updated data does not arrive via radio. Furthermore, in some countries there is a lack of radio stations that receive ship signals on land. You may find that CRYSTAL RAY's position freezes on the tracking map at some time in the next few days as she enters an area regarded by some as high risk. If they publish the satellite data we will be able to follow them, as we follow the others.
Odd that no VINs assigned yet, cleared Suez and nothing yetDo we know if the cars on the Glovis Cosmos got a VIN assigned yet?
