There is no separate control on 2023 MY RWD as if it was not equipped with fog lights. But the fog lights turn on automatically by themselves. From the owner's manual; "Fog Lights -
A separate control is available to turn on fog lights (if equipped). When on, fog lights operate whenever low beam headlights are on. When headlights are turned off, fog lights also turn off."
Those aren’t fog lights. That’s just a decorative light strip. The fog light is next to the light stripLooks like they are working to me. I don’t see a separate control for them in the UI but they are illuminated whenever the lights are on
Then maybe it doesn’t have them? Car is right outside…any way to go confirm? Those aren’t fog lights. That’s just a decorative light strip. The fog light is next to the light strip
So I went out to the car and turned the lights on and it looks like there are bulbs there to the sides of the strip but they don’t seem to turn onThen maybe it doesn’t have them? Car is right outside…any way to go confirm?
Ok, i did that last weekend in an office park parking lot near us…but I watched what was being projected on the wall in front of us. I’ll do it again and film the nose of the car this timeThe light show will turn on the fog lights if they are there
How could you tell the fogs turned on?Since there is no way to manually control the fog lights on the screen, many of us believe that the fog lights are disabled on 2023 MY RWD.
Today is extremely foggy in GA. I found the fog lights automatically turned on.
How could you tell the fogs turned on?
They do come up during light show for sure.It looks like a few of us thought the decorative lights next to the fogs were the fogs. I’ll do the light show again this weekend and film the nose to see if the they come on or not…if they do, I might consider it another reason to buy S3XY Nob (which I think looks cool but is $$$).
I assure you there’s no “fog sensor” on your car that automatically turns the fog lights on in foggy conditions.Guess I have to check during the next foggy day.

The neural net is used to activate the windshield wipers, right? No reason it couldn’t also be employed to trigger fogs…It's not inconceivable that it uses Tesla Vision to detect fog, though if it does I imagine it would work about as well as the auto wipers
