255/45/20 vs 275/40/20 on induction

Think I'll have any issues going with a 275/40/20 if I have MPP coilovers dropped about 0.5 inch? For less road noise and ride comfort, should I go with Conti's DW06?

I currently have on order 255/45/20 AS4's but I'm having second thoughts on what would be better for comfort without any issues. I think the 265s would be good but not worth the higher price.

You'll be good. I'm on Tein's with 20x10 35et and 275/40 Contis. No rubs. Looks meaty.

My 255/45/20 are running nicely, definitely feels more comfortable and saved $70/tire. I stiffened up my MPP coilovers a tad bit, feels very good now.

I think the 275's look better and have better rim protection, the 255's may be more comfortable but its mostly people putting on Michelin Cross climate 2's from what i've seen.
The 275/40s look flat out better. They are a much sportier tire due to the width. No matter what angle.. wider looks better than taller.

That said 255/40s should be slight more efficient because its a smaller patch of tire on the road. I'm guessing comfort is about equal.. as both tires have about same size sidewall.

Just a little update. I ended up going with the 275/40/20's. I absolutely love everything about it.

Some things that I noticed:
1. It looks better in person than in pictures. Its hard to really gauge how much of a difference it makes until you see it in person and compare it side by side with another Tesla
2. Ride quality improved a lot. Mind you, I was coming from winter tires, but there was a significant difference
3. The rim protection is amazing. You have a lot more tolerance as the first point of contact are the tires, not the rims
4. Speedometer didn't change too much. I'm driving in KM, so if my GPS shows im driving at 126km/h, the Tesla will show 125 km/h. 1 km difference is not a noticeable difference.

Overall I'm very satisfied. If you're on the fence, or have any questions, definitely reach out!
