I thought my order/purchase/delivery process was great (I'll never buy a car at a traditional dealership again). The back-end administrative operations by Telsa was terrible, though. It took them over two months to pay off my trade and issue a title to my financing bank on the new car. Because they didn't pay off my trade quickly, as most dealers do (because they want the title to auction off your trade), I kept making payments on my trade-in because I didn't want a 30-day ding on my credit.
When they finally paid of my trade, they didn't send in the original, contractual amount due (which would net me a credit), they had the nerve to call to get a new pay off amount which was lower because I made another two payments. The most frustrating part is that there is no customer service to call. I finally made enough noise with my delivery team that they opened a case in whatever internal system they use. First round was unsuccessful - they came back and said, "we paid what was due to the bank". I raised bloody hell with the delivery team by phone and email. 2 days later, I got a Fedex check for the amount I was due.
Keep on them. They shouldn't suck so bad at this, but they do.
