60 Days - Still no title, no plates, no loan number

I thought my order/purchase/delivery process was great (I'll never buy a car at a traditional dealership again). The back-end administrative operations by Telsa was terrible, though. It took them over two months to pay off my trade and issue a title to my financing bank on the new car. Because they didn't pay off my trade quickly, as most dealers do (because they want the title to auction off your trade), I kept making payments on my trade-in because I didn't want a 30-day ding on my credit.

When they finally paid of my trade, they didn't send in the original, contractual amount due (which would net me a credit), they had the nerve to call to get a new pay off amount which was lower because I made another two payments. The most frustrating part is that there is no customer service to call. I finally made enough noise with my delivery team that they opened a case in whatever internal system they use. First round was unsuccessful - they came back and said, "we paid what was due to the bank". I raised bloody hell with the delivery team by phone and email. 2 days later, I got a Fedex check for the amount I was due.

Keep on them. They shouldn't suck so bad at this, but they do.

OMG!!! I have the exact same situation. My car was delivered on June 30th. I thought everything was in order then I get these automated text messages from Alyssa Gonzalez, Funding Resolution Specialist saying they need me to unfreeze my accounts and provide a copy of my license. Which I've done both multiple times. I have yet to speak with Alyssa. It's now been over 2 months of this nightmare. I've spoken to 3 salesman including the one who sold me the car. He says Alyssa will call me in minutes, then nothing. I'm ready to give the car back. I'm worried my credit score will be impacted. Total nightmare!

Just tell the salesman that you will wait in the store for the call...and you wont leave until you get the call!

Sorry you are going through this.....we didnt get our plates until after our temps were expired either.
Hi it is impossible to get decent support at the NJ Paramus dealer branch on route 17. Since last week I have been emailing if they had eta for my permanent plates which expire tomorrow on my recent purchase of a model 3.

On Friday after much effort I finally got email response that all was on track and that nothing looked out of order for delivery right before expiry (Tesla my expiry is tomorrow- so far nada niks). There is zero phone support so I called Springfield NJ branch - someone finally answered after a very long hold and promised to get back to me once he got info from my branch (he never did get back to me).

Yesterday I got email from Christy at Paramus( same one who told me all was in order on Friday), doesn’t seem like she actually bothered to check as apparently my plates will arrive after expiry as they were sent “ by accident “ to Mt Kisco branch!!!!! No apology in the email or offer to call and explain or attempt to help me get extension on temp plate since now I won’t be able to drive- nothing!!

I never would have bought a Tesla knowing that this is their definition of customer service. My husband also owns a Tesla and he said the Paramus service center was good three years ago? What appalling service so very disappointed and doubtful I would recommend Tesla to anyone because I think
customer care should be tops especially for a luxury brand like Tesla .
