75kWH battery pack

Hi, I m trying to get some info about battery packs for Tesla S 75D (2016-2018). Does anyone tear down those packs?
How many modules is inside each pack? how many cells in each module? Is it based on cells 18650?
(I m looking for some real thing, no guessing and conjecture)

That part I do know for certain. All of the Model S and X vehicles have always used and continued to use the 18650 size cells. The packs for the Model 3 were built differently to use the 2170 type cells.

Same architecture as 90kwh pack, minus two modules (14 vs 16), which lowers pack voltage to 350 (vs. 400 in the 90).

Each module is 444 18650 cells arranged in a 72p x 6s array.

14 modules in series = 75kwh total, ~72.6kwh usable, 350 volts.

Yes, 90 and 85 are same cell count / module architecture, but 90 has updated cells with a slightly higher nominal capacity (~3500mAh vs ~3400mAh I believe, but don’t quote me on that part).

Yes, apologies. 74p x 6s.

85kwh and 70kwh packs use the older cell with lower capacity.

90kwh and 75kwh packs use the newer cell with higher capacity.

FYI - there is one module with approx. 50 batteries removed. 13 regular bricks and 1 "lessor" brick in the front left side. The hump is empty.

You mean for you to find someone who is willing to take apart your battery pack and void your warranty to do a hack job like that? Possibly.

not possible. First, 100kwh modules are completely different. Second, you cant change any modules in a pack. i have heard the new toolbox has a backend feature to program a replacement module but i’ve never heard of it being done.
