A month and still no VIN

Ordered a MR, black on white, no EAP, aeros, NYC resident, still no VIN. Is that normal?

I didn’t hear anything for months. They build in batches and then allocate.

I did eventually see a delivery date on my Tesla web page. Figured it was a placeholder as I’m in Texas and have to pay beforehand. Shortly thereafter they called about payment. Then a few days later they called and moved the spot up.
