Can't you just turn on the lights and go look? It's not that complicated

Compare the pic I inserted full size to the thumbnails I attached and tell me which makes it easier to identify the problem. It's not that complicated.

Further to my page 1 post. My drivers side LED signature strip has been out probably since I got the car. Noticed it for the first time after a few week. First Service Center appointment today. They did a 4 wheel alignment to center the steering wheel and replaced the entire drivers side headlight. All is as it should be now.

The same thing happened to me; it is in the service center right now for the blinker issue. Will report back what they do/say.

Housing swap successful. Took the mobile tech about an hour and a half - required removal of frunk liner and front fascia.

Because of this thread I double checked and sure enough the rapid blinker issue is present. Tech is currently running a calibration.

Update: tech finished and had to run to his next appointment. Says software update is required to re-calibrate. Remotely pushed update. Ten minutes later and I received the notice on my phone. Updating now. Fingers crossed.

how's the alignment of the new housing? the driver's side one that they replaced 4 weeks ago is more flush to the bumper than the passenger side one. doesn't bug me enough to have the svc attempt to adjust

It looks the same to me. It was one of the first things I checked out.

Could this be why 28.2 is already rolling out?

Pretty sure unrelated. I think the process of flashing the firmware is what triggers a calibration event.

That makes sense.

I emailed the SC and they already said they have to make their own determination of the issue, so I have to go back in before they will push any update.

That's my point. Some people were reporting that replacement housings "lined up better" with the front fascia. Mine look the same. Perhaps they were never as bad as others'.

Update: Car returned to me. Firmware fix applied. No more rapid driver side signal.

Stopped by the service center this morning. I said I read here that a firmware update could fix it. They looked at the car, said it was a defective part that was causing the rapid blink. Scheduled an appointment two weeks out so they could order parts.

An hour later, I get a text saying they realized it was a firmware update and a ranger would contact me within 48 hours.

Moral of the story: Don't let them tell you it's not a firmware problem.

Thanks to this post (which I got a link to from a post on M3OC), I went to check mine. Noticed my drivers side is out.
