aftermarket audio upgrade

I upgraded from standard and added the sound ordinance self contained sub with amplifier.

the gap doesn't bother me, but if you are willing to either trim the inside of the door panel or use the universal mounts, it will definitely fit

if you want a UNI kit, i'll give it to you for my cost plus mailing. Amazon wants shipping, which is fair since I changed my mind, but I couldn't bear to pay $6 on a $17 item.

I chose the rear doors since the mid range sound in the back doors was very muddy. the front speakers have the tweeter in the A pillar. the clarity from the infinity speakers is amazing.

btw, I think the model speaker that I bought is last year's. Infinity's website shows them as not current. I had to look around to find them. multiple sellers on Amazon, though, right now.

I did it all myself and I would like to share what I have done. This pertains to 2017 Model S.

-Audison Prima AP4 (4 channel amp) & Prima AP1 (Mono Amp)
-Audison Bit Ten DSP
-NVX Sub Enclosure
-Hertz Mille Legend Components 6.5 & ML280 Tweets

Sounds pretty awesome. I will help you guys with any installation questions.

Hi MasterJohny. My 2017.5 just went in production and I'm already buying parts for my system, have 2 amps, sub, most of the wiring, and speakers.

What made you decide on the audison? Are you using the stock stereo high level speaker outs to the audison? I can't decide on a mosconi or audiocontrol and now that audison looks tempting too. Where did you tap into your lines? Did you cut behind the speakers and run fresh wire from Amp to speakers or extend the stock wires to amp? Did you do anything to boost the 12v stock battery? Where did you get those speaker adapters? How did you pass your wires between the frunk and trunk?

Hi Tommy,
-High Level outs are the only choice unless you wanna get rid of the giant ipad.
-DSP, you can go with any one of the choices you mentioned, not much differences you will hear
-Wiring, all fresh, used 12 gauge 8 conductor wires (one on each sides): high level signals-->DSP-->amp-->speakers
-Stock 12V, runs two class d amps and a DSP just fine, no range drop
-Adapters: Amazon, do not know if i can paste a link, modification required
-Frunk battery-->firewall-->trunk amp: getting through the firewall is the challenging part, so in the picture you see two red wires by the passenger side firewall, the silver cut out in the black background, rubber grommet can be removed.
