Another Model S comes to AUSTIN TEXAS!!!

I heard from the delivery supervisor today. He says my car is "pre production" meaning that it is approaching the assembly line, and will be officially entering production in the coming days. I asked him what he meant by "approaching the assembly line" and he said they are now sourcing the panels... not just the smaller parts.

He also said that the HPWC will be sent out before the end off the week, so I guess I will get that next week.

Austin Energy came to my house today as part of the permit process to upgrade my home electrics. That work is scheduled for December 17th... two days before the Model S gets here (according to the current schedule anyway! I have frequently read about cars arriving early).

Congratulations to SpaceX on their successful Falcon 9 launch.

My car is in production! The Delivery Specialist said it is getting paint at the moment. Just checked and the screen has flipped on the website.

He said I could possibly get it on the 17th but of course that is the first day my electrician can come. It'll be a complex install at the house with changes in the panel, a long run, some trenching and decision about exactly where to put it in the garage, so I don't want them to overlap. Keeping the appt on the 19th for now.

Well I heard from my DS today that my car ought to be able to leave the factory on December 11th. Even though it says this on the website dashboard (as of this posting) -

So somehow it is going to get built in less than 5 days! (assuming it is not in production yet..,. you'd think he would mention that if it was)

What did change today is the arrival of the "PAY NOW" button, inviting me to hook Tesla up with my loan people and pay them the downpayment. I just sold some TSLA at a paltry $137.50.

I went through the docusign process. I'm seriously on board now!!! Only the truth in lending law can save me :)

It's still only 4:35pm on Friday at the Tesla plant. I suppose there's a chance it'll go into production tonight. Otherwise I'm not sure how they'll be shipping it off the premises next Thursday.

I'll bet it's in production and he didn't mention it. Others have reported that were told their car was in production without it being reflected on the website.

Funny how inconsistent it all is. The Pay Now button has been up on my website for weeks. My guy at Alliant said for a 12/18 delivery that we should fund it on 12/16. I don't see the point in giving them money early.

Wa-hoo! I am used to not checking my dashboard continually. I was showing it to someone at a party last night and it had indeed changed to "In Production." I had to control my enthusiasm :)

Must have happened really late on Friday night or some time on Saturday. I guess they work weekends!

Well as far as I know, my car will be fully funded some time tomorrow. Meaning, if Tesla sends me the same note, I can say "yes."

I had already arranged to go to the Burnet Road service center tomorrow just to visit for the first time... who knows, perhaps my car will be sitting there under wraps!!!

I might have the car before the HPWC gets installed!
