Any ideas as to what may be causing the popping noise?

2018 Model X 100D, about 5500 miles.

The popping sound happens every morning, no idea what is causing it, brought to Tesla service numerous times, and still can’t identify the cause. Anyone had the same issue or can give me some suggestions as to what may be causing the noise?

Hard to tell in your video the noise, but when I took delivery of mine every time I would hit a corner, small bump or the vehicle flexed, I had a popping sound from passenger side door near glovebox. Problem went away on its own and I can not get it to make the noise again. I have a feeling it’s temperature related, and I’m expecting it to be replicated in the winter. Guessing seals or something

Thanks for the reply!

The noise comes each morning as I am backing out of my garage and then turn straight. Then appears again at random after that. Sometimes during turns, and sometimes when I start to accelerate after a stop sign or a red light. But after driving a while the noise would appear less and less.

Which is a pain because by the time I get to Tesla service the car has been driven for at least 20 mins, so the tech really have issues trying to get the noise to appear.

I have tons of clicking/flexing/popping sounds on my march 2018, increasingly worse. There was loud popping noise on passenger side which SC fixed ("Inspection revealed brightmolding required adjustment. Removed and adjusted brightmolding to factory specifications.").

Then there was another lesser flexing/clicking noise coming from around the same area. It used to be quite obvious on passenger side glove box when it was colder. I opened the glovebox and put some weight on the glovebox door, then the noise was significantly reduced. I tried to put velcro strips around everywhere but it did not help. Now it's warmer it disappeared but the noise is appearing on center and driver side dashboard, plus driver door. It's most replicable when slowing down (regen) and coming to a stop. Then it'd randomly appear throughout the drive if the road is uneven. The noise is not apparent on freeway speed (probably due to wind/road noise taking over).

If I make a right turn into a plaza, my driver door sounds like it's falling apart with loud flexing noise, like the sound of trying to turn a piece of paper to a ball shape, multiple pieces.

I was supposed to bring my car in on Wednesday to fix a bunch of issues excluding these noises but they called me in the AM saying they have no loaner or enterprise for me so we re-scheduled to next week. I will bring up these noises to them and see what they can do. I am pretty sure I can reproduce them with the tech in the car, but I am concerned they'll have to take apart all the interior!

Man, the loaner situation is getting worse @ Torrance SC.

I brought the car to Costa Mesa many times for this noise issue, and last time the tech said they cleaned and lubricated the bash plate, whatever that is. Which obviously didn’t resolve the issue. Then I brought it to Buena Park, where the issue would not appear at all during the 20 minute test drive with the tech.

And definitely feeling the crunch with loaners, been getting text notification saying no loaners available quite often.
