Wow, sounds like good news! So they let you check it out? That’s very cool.
Sounds like the accessories are there. When you pick up, double check that you get a J1772 adapter (depending on how you plan to charge.). At least around here, it’s the more popular Level 2 adapter that plugs on between a charger and the car. I’ll explain more below.
I also saw someone say they were missing a tow bolt. On our car, if you open the frunk, and look in the front edge of the frunk floor, there was a large metal eye bolt that is threaded but loose. If missing, it sounds like towing the car can be a problem.
Your charge level seems kind of high compared to recommendations I’ve seen. Maybe others will comment, but my understanding is that charge level for best battery life should be set to 80%. The only time it’s recommended to charge 100% is right before a long trip where you need the full range. And you shouldn’t even do that the night before, schedule it to complete 100% charge shortly before leaving (kind of hard to do in my book, but there you go.)
Glad to hear it looks good! We went to our delivery appt today and it went well also. I was concerned about not seeing the car before payment after having read stories of some people not being allowed to unlock the car before payment. We showed up at the Devon, PA location a little late and I walked through the showroom looking for someone for my appt. There were no Tesla employees in the main showroom, everyone was in the back or running around the lot busy. So walked outside and found our car sitting right outside the door. Walked around it and outside condition looked very good, rear tires a little thin, but usable for a while. Went in and out of the showroom and finally grabbed someone with a Tesla shirt and mentioned I was there for a pickup. My delivery advisor found me a couple minutes later and he said I could jump in the car and check it out, he was busy and would get back to me soon. No problem with pre-payment and no up front signing the delivery contract. I had time to look through the car and check accessories, car was well cleaned and overall good to very good condition inside.
As you mentioned
@Baxterdown , it had a bag with the charge cord (UMC?) and 3-4 plug adapters, but I could not find the J1772 which we were going to need for our home charger, a generic Level 2. Ours has the tow package and it looked like they put a brand new receiver in a bag in the frunk. (Still wrapped in a heavy plastic bag.)
We also have MCU1 and I noticed the slow restart when we had to reset the car. When we asked to setup the Tesla app, the lady helping us said the car should restart, but did not automatically. We did the two scroll wheel on the steering wheel sequence a couple times, followed by me getting out and locking then unlocking the car to perform a reboot. Then the app recognized me after a logout and login.
I also noticed ‘unlimited, premium connectivity’, but I assume that means unlimited data, or something, as the used listing said 30 days free. We’ll see!
Did they call you to schedule an appt. for delivery yet? Ours was supposed to arrive on Monday and we had a call in the afternoon to schedule the delivery. The only kink was a call yesterday that they had trouble charging the car and we might need to delay pickup today. But then they called around 11 and said everything was fine and car was ready to go.
Overall a positive experience. We drove 40 minutes home, had a little brake squeal in the front, it sounded like, but will see if that is just from sitting idle for a while. Battery was at 80% charge on pickup, which was one thing I wondered about your battery display.
