AP3 Chip and Updates

I have the AP3 chip. I was wondering if anyone with it got the latest update. I think its 16.2. I still have 12.1.2.

On teslafi, I found this info:

It appears Arizona may be the last to get the update? Am I reading it right?

Don't read to much into updates and timing. Like most software companies, it's sent in batches and may or may not be prioritized to certain groups to fix certain issues.

I'm on AP 2.5, in California, and still haven't gotten the update. Our human brains are so demanding aren't they

does anybody by any chance know how to verify what chip that a car has?
most likely mine is a AP 2.5 as it is a March 2019 built, but I can't find anywhere where it is actually written down or mentioned.

any suggestion?

I called Tesla to verify what chip I had. They were able to tell me.

I was just curious mostly if AP3 should be getting the same update or if it was any different.

@Mr Vader , you can call them like AZTessie mentioned or visit their site and chat with customer service ( https://www.tesla.com/support ). Mine was built on March 30th and cs was able to confirm I had AP 2.5

Just contacted Tesla chat support and they mentioned I have AP3 or HW3 so the update won't be out for us until next week or two weeks from now. I'm on 2019.7.106!

I have HW3.0 4/19 built, and vehicle updated to 2019.16.2 on 5/22/2019.

She mentioned to me that there are certain users who have the updates already and testing it, then the scheduled roll-out will be in a week or two from now.

I have AP3, and I just got 16.2 a couple days ago. No Confirmation lane changing on NoA is active now.

Thanks for the tip about chatting with customer service. I just did that and was able to determine that I DO indeed have HW3/FSD chip as I already suspected.

All she could tell me about software updates is that there isn't one ready for my car yet. She didn't give any time frame.

Interesting. They told me that 16.2 wouldn't come to my car - that no updates were available for me at this time. And they also confirmed that I'm on HW3/FSD.

I got 2019.16.3 last night. Build date late April, I'm assuming HW3 based upon announcements.

You can do a chat with Tesla support and ask them to confirm if you are HW3 or not. This is what I did and they confirmed that I do indeed have HW3.
