Austin - new facility coming

Store mgr in Austin told me that there is a big SC coming up on pondsprings road. I was driving by there yesterday and saw this. Looks like its ready to service starting monday.

Is that an SvC (Service Center) with a public SC (Supercharger site) or just an SvC for now? I've heard that most SvCs, aside from the small ones, will end up with public SCs. Which is a pretty cool development, given that it'll help with density as well as for distance.

Someone on the Austin Tesla Owners Group mentioned an opening date of 8/8

My delivery is 8/8 in the new facility at 10am. Was told it was going to be the first there

It is open, with some kinks. One of the major kinks was that the charger that was supposed to be leisurely charging my car was not working. Oops.

I could not reschedule since I had to drive the finance minister to work so they gave me a loaner to drive her back to San Antonio after giving her the red carpet review of the car.

I sit eating a quick bite while the loaner 70 charges. My 90D should be charged when I get back

No superchargers by the way, or even outdoor HPWCs. Just a lot of HPWCs indoors.
