Yeah, I've managed to try a few different charging providers on this trip, BP are definitely the worse experience so far.I find the plugs OK, solid and robust, but wait until you try a BP Pulse. Those liquid cooled cables are not nice

Ohh, does cooling the cable help sustain higher charging rates? Or is it an environmental thing where they are located (out in places that get heaps hot?)I find the plugs OK, solid and robust, but wait until you try a BP Pulse. Those liquid cooled cables are not nice
No, at least the one I tried, was only 50 or 75 kw from memoryOhh, does cooling the cable help sustain higher charging rates? Or is it an environmental thing where they are located (out in places that get heaps hot?)
I dont think ive seen any around here, maybe the 350KW RAA chargers? i havent used one yet.
There are two RAA-Chargefox chargers in Mount Barker homemaker centre.Yeah I’d only use them when travelling or if I’ve had a long day and need a full charge for the next day that my home charger wouldn’t catch up to.
12kw at home would be 96c on the over night plan.
Which charger did you try?
Do most/all RAA require a BYO type 2? we have two here at the Novotel I'm staying at but they are both BYO so haven't tried them. There are two RAA-Chargefox chargers in Mount Barker homemaker centre.
That one is fast, I think 200kW official. There is Type 2, but I don't know if it has a cable.Do most/all RAA require a BYO type 2? we have two here at the Novotel I'm staying at but they are both BYO so haven't tried them.

NoMaybe the liquid cooled cables are an extra layer of protection considering the fuel tanks nearby?
Yep 8c/kwh between midnight and 6am.There are two RAA-Chargefox chargers in Mount Barker homemaker centre.
Have you switched to an 8c/kW night plan? Does it work? I have some "money" in my alinta account from excess solar, and I need to use those first since they don't cash it out.
Maybe they run the fuel thru the cables to warm it up before delivering it to the petrol cars? Are those BP ones the only type that are located at a service station? Maybe the liquid cooled cables are an extra layer of protection considering the fuel tanks nearby?
Anything above 22kw will have its own cable.Do most/all RAA require a BYO type 2? we have two here at the Novotel I'm staying at but they are both BYO so haven't tried them.
Sometimes, but I haven’t seen it since the last update. Also, do you get the same message about blocked or blinded pillar cameras while driving at night?
They should fill them with nitrogenI think it might actually be the other way around - the liquid-cooled cables can be lighter and easier to handle because they don't need to use as much copper. So probably BP just cheaped out.
