Hey guys!

Currently organising insurance to finalise the financing for my MY on GC. Any recommended insurers for the best rates?

The quotes I'm currently getting are 2x higher than my previous car!

I've always found Tesla very responsive to fixing issues with delivered cars.

It seems like some of the service centres are less so than others. The one I've dealt with has always been great.

We went with Budget Direct as they’ve been really good to deal with in the past.

But yes - the cost was astronomical. Over 3k a year for a rating 1 on full comp!

I think insurance has gone up a lot for all vehicles. My 2021 Model 3 LR was written off last month (Speeding driver in a corolla came over the top of a roundabout to T bone me at 80k in a school zone no less). I was insured with GIO platinum (2k a year with 3k excess).

GIO was really good to deal with and paid me out the value of a new model 3 highland with onroads. Same insureance and excess will be 2.5k on the Model YLR for me.

Not sure where you are, but NRMA quoted around $2200 for me and I'm in Adelaide. I'll be on a novated lease, so it'll be easier to justify...

So when I got my text on Thursday to say delivery was approaching (Morning Cello had unloaded in Melbourne), my EDD was 27 Nov to 18 Dec.... just checked and it's moved up a week to 20 Nov - 11 Dec... I'm still hoping to get it sooner, but at least it shows that the port closure hasn't had much of an effect (so far).
