Autopilot issues

Hi has anyone been having issues with the cruise control side of autopilot now and again breaking really sharply all of a sudden when travelling down a motorway and about to over take another vehicle, like it suddenly acts like your about to drive into the back of a car that's clearly in the other lane? It's done it a few times to me now and it's getting quite concerning
