With the new update and NHSTA recall if you get a force disconnect 5 times auto steer or FSD will not be available for one week . Does it reset to zero after 1 week ? How long is the period of time that it keeps count of the forced disconnects?

Yes.

Forever, essentially. Twice (most recently with 2023.44.30.*) a software release will reset these to zero. It appears that happens if the release substantially changes nag/lockout procedures. But that's rare.

I just drove 800 miles using autosteer feature of autopilot. No more nagging than before the recall software update. Driving 2,000 miles next week.
