Tesla has rolled out its 8.1 software update, which includes updates to Autopilot for hardware version 2.0.
Updates include:
– Increased speed limit for Autosteer from 55 mph to 80 mph. As part of this, owners will need to calibrate cameras before engaging the feature.
– The Summon feature, which enables the car to self-drive itself from a parking space, is available as a “beta” feature.
– ‘Auto Lane Change’, a core feature of Autopilot 1.0, is now enabled. Drivers can now change lanes by using the turn signal when Autosteer is activated.
