When you are on your Model Y page hit either Ctrl+U (PC) or Command+Option+U (Mac) then search for (Ctrl+F or Command+F) “5YJY” (don’t put the quotes). If something shows up, you have a VIN

gaulfinger - In your internet browser the source code is the HTML programming that makes web pages appear the way they do. You can search the source code to see if your VIN has been assigned yet even if you have not been notified. Here are pretty common steps:
- login to your Tesla account page
- click on “Manage” beside the vehicle you ordered
- when your order page comes up do a right click on a blank area of the page and select “view page source” from the window that appears
- a lot of strange coding will be presented. You need to do a “find” on this page (control-F on Windows, command-F on Macs) and enter “5Y” without the quotes.
If you have a VIN this process will find it embedded in the long page of code. If you don’t have a VIN it usually says it can’t find the search term.
