Thankfully my car has long since been delivered, so it isn't a problem for me. But it's an incredibly minor risk I'd be happy to take, just as I choose to take the same minor risk of doing 75mph on the motorway.Good luck to you if you have an accident and your insurance is void due to you turning off a safety feature all because of something you can't hear from inside the car.
I agree, it sounds God awful.If the warning system can be turned off by API, I'll gladly lend my services and build something that keeps enforcing it off. I think it sounds utterly dreadful.
