Buy MYLR 7 Seater in USA and import into Canada

Thinking of doing the same as OP. @xcyber did you find a solution or any information regarding this?
Convoluted and expensive process. Added to that, there is no clarity about getting the warranty coverage in Canada.
I am hoping, in a few months when the US productions have ramped up and inventory starts building, Tesla may open up the option for Canadians to get a 7 seater from the US inventory.

Keep hounding @elonmusk on Twitter. Who knows, he may decide on a whim?
If you know of influencers who have his ears/eyes, get to them please.

One part of the confusion is that you may not be able to buy the car directly in the US. Someone else in the US may have to buy in their name, and then sell the car to you. Creates further headaches. I had communication with borderbuddy.com and in the end came away with realization it is much more a trouble than it is worth.

Canada has an agressive proceedure that effectively protects their private dealerships from citizens wanting to purchase their vehicles from USA, where prices are generally lower.

You will need to check with your local government and import policies to determine what needs to be done to bring a car in from another country.
They require conversions to metric in many cases. Tesla may be able to help you to determine what changes will need to be make to be eligible for importation to Canada.

USA does this a well. A constant battle in the grey market, where citizens want to bring in a desirable model that is not commercially available locally.

Bumper standards is a big deal.

Yeah, methinks they have made subtle differences in standards especially to make the imports difficult.

Q for @Unclepaul - Do Tesla US models have daytime running lights? It is a requirement in Canada.
