Buying a wrecked Model S? Is this too much damage?

Follow up - I've got 2 initial estimates from personally trusted but non-certified Tesla shops (both have worked on Model S's before) and they both came in just under $5k.

I'll update if I decide to pull the trigger and also if the bill ends up expanding significantly once they take the panels off.
 
You need to get it checked out first. If the lower control arm is damaged, you'll need to drop the battery to replace. That would make the repair expense way too high.

A quick alignment would be totally worth the expense. Also it likely needs the magnesium from support replaced since they typically crack when tapped ahead of the front wheel.

I would have a hard time paying more than $15k for it as is. I just bought mine from Tesla for $29k with 30k miles and AP1. Prices are only going lower.
