I got a VIN today for a Plaid that I am going to decline because my earlier order ( pre price increase with white interior) is now saying late October.

The car I will not get says:

Oct 13-19, Calgary.

Not sure if this can be transferred if anyone wants it.

Tons in US (there's a dedicated white interior thread). My SA in Ottawa said 15 Plaids and LRs have been delivered in Ottaws and “some” had white interiors.

When they request final payment, there should by a contract in pdf form you can open and it shows the VIN.

You can use the Tesla VIN Finder chrome extension to find if a VIN is assigned.

This will be my first Tesla, I’m currently driving a Golf R, which I absolutely love. TBH, I’m on the fence about whether I want to give it up or not, so I’ve basically just made this my decision point. If I don’t get it by 31 Dec, it’s just not meant to be.



It works out to $6K extra for me because of the extra options I’ve selected (colour, interior, FSD). I could drop FSD and buy it after to save $2K.

Yes you absolutely should add FSD after delivery. Saves money on taxes AND you can pay with credit card (I think)

Being in Alberta, it only costs $500 in tax, not too bad since it will allow me to roll it into the financing. That’ll change if lux tax comes in, although the credit card points would be significant…
